I'm just curious
Im sure it was asked here before but I'm just wondering how you choose your fem name, is it the fem version of your male name. Did someone pic it out for you or was it a name you just liked. For myself I would go clothes shopping with my wife and she would hold up something fem and ask me if I wanted it. I was more uncomfortable with that situation back then but not as much now, but at that time I told her it felt a little uncomfortable her asking me that out loud. So the next time we went out she just asked if I thought Maria would like it.
It wasn't a name I would have chosen but my wife just said I remembered her of a Maria when I was dressed. Coming from her I respected it and kept it.

Abby. My wife and daughter call me Abby as my nickname in drab mode. Abby is the source of the experimental brain in the Mel Brooks movie Young Frankenstein.

Maria, my wife and I have been similar. Having a femme name helps in some situations, and she uses it just as your wife does with you. I don't recall how I came to the name. It might have been a we decision, or a me decision, I really don't remember. I do like the name "Julie" though. The name makes me think of the persona of Julie McCoy on Love Boat, and Julie Andrews as well. I've considered changing it to "Abigail" though; it's the name my mom chose for me had I been a girl. Well, I'm partly a girl so... :)
Abby, ... got me laughing :) Abby Normal :)

Lana was my playmate at 6! She used to toss her dress up over her head and I wanted a dress so I could do that! First dress was at about 65! Mae is my mother's middle name and to honor her!
Hugs Lana Mae
