I almost outed myself
Few weeks ago I had to move out from my old apartment and by coincidence a colleague's husband was looking for a new tenant, so I'm now renting his apartment, which has windows heading almost directly to the South.
Summer started here finally with temperatures reaching 30C/86F during weekend and today the colleague asked me at work how I handled the heat during the weekend. It almost slipped my tongue, that in summer mini-dress it's totally fine.
I have to be more careful.

If you work in a place where being out about crossdressing would be frowned upon, yes. It's annoying to have to be secretive.
Those of us who work in more open environments (myself included) know what a boon it is to not have to lie. For others, it's the closet, I'm afraid.

lol, its the kind of answer that might have been mistaken for a joke.
Will your colleague?s husband now be your landlord?
-
Marketa, I am assuming you live someplace where air-conditioning I not common. I as well have almost spilled the beans.
-
Not quite the same thing for me but a standard answer for me when asked if I have children.
As a male I would answer " none that I know of"
Using that in a bunch of ladies who may not have picked up on my being TS is certainly outing myself.
It is easily done when we feel comfortable.

My tennis group is mixed gender so sometimes I?m playing with three women. Invariably at some point during a break they will start talking about shopping, clothing, makeup nails etc? I have to remind myself to look disinterested, and eventually they say sorry for the girl talk - if only they knew I would love to join in.

Jesse VF.
Just soak it up. lol.
-
Jesse. Assuming you are single, just join in. Tell them that you believe that that kind of knowledge will help you when dating.
-
Marketa I would have agreed with you, but most guys would laugh it off as a joke.
-
That?s a great idea Rhonda - it would be fun and informative - not single though.
Philippa - yes I do enjoy just listening in.
