Lost my HAT

HAT = Home Alone Time. Saturdays I normally get 4-5 hours at home to myself. This gives me time to dress fully sans makeup and to get my femme washing done, dried and put away.
Well, today the SO came downstairs mid morning to say her sister was having problems with a neighbour who'd bought in tree surgeons to do work on a tree belonging to her. Being widowed she needed support. So that's me then.
An afternoon spent dressed turned into one spent mostly standing in the cold chatting the the tree surgeons who were very sympathetic to the SIL and only removed parts of the tree that she was planning to do anyway so it turned out to be a money saver. (The neighbour wanted the entire tree removed but when he found out the cost.......)
Disappointed to loose my enfemme time but well, family comes first.
As for the washing. I do get shorter HAT's most days so I'll just have to be quick & slick washing and drying.

On the other hand Helen you could get the Wife to "expand" Her interests, I.E. join more organisations-- W.I. comes to mind.........

It's amazing that tree could have been cut any other day but it had to be that day. It's funny how when I'm out the house is always empty and nobody is home. Then I get a day off and its a holiday for the grandchildren or someone's car doesn't start or furnace breaks. In case you didn't notice these are real life things that have happened in the last little while whenever I'm home. Tonight I just found out my son in law is going to work out of town for a few weeks and my daughter doesn't want to be alone so she's going to be staying with us. Conveniently I just found out we are a little slow at work and we will be going to a three or four day week. The crossdressing Gods must be upset with me. Just like you said "I guess family comes first".

But, u may have set a world record, Helen. I can't recall ever hearing a closet dresser blame their not dressing on a tree before!
