My wife surprised me once again

I keep all my CD items in our spare bedroom. Thus, when I change from drab to fab each afternoon or evening and from fab to drab each morning, that's where I change. My wife has never come into that room while I'm changing. This morning as I was undressing getting ready to bathe, my wife was getting ready to go to the grocery store. She had a question about what I might need from the grocery in addition to what she was getting. So, what did she do? After I had hung up the dress I changed into earlier in the morning, she came into the spare bedroom while I was standing there in my bra, forms, nylons, garter belt, and lace panties. She didn't hesitate, look oddly at me, or give any other sign this was anything other than a normal conversation in a normal setting. She has seen me in just panties often times as I have mostly undressed and then walked to our master closet to retrieve a shirt and pants to wear after bathing. But in 5 1/2 years of cross dressing, I believe this is the first time she has seen me in this stage of dressing/undressing. I realize this is a small thing to many, however having an unsupportive wife, this is a big thing. Am I reading too much into this incident? Probably. Could this be an indication of just a bit more acceptance? Maybe. Regardless, I loved standing there in front of her in just my lingerie. It made me feel as though I was just one of the ladies.

I think that incident means the acceptance meter seems to have moved a bit. If it happens a few more times, you'll know for sure.

Agreed, she is becoming more comfortable. The strange aspect is that I'm fine with male persona and female persona, but the transition. Wow, I am so nervous at that stage. I'm surprised you were able to keep it all together. Good work.

Heather for some reason your feelings just don't grow old. For you it was the first time and I'm sure it felt overwhelming but for some reason for me it's thirty years and I get that same feeling even now. There are times when we are getting changed in the bedroom and talking about the grandchildren or Christmas and then I get a view in the mirror and I'm standing there in front of her wearing pantyhose and a bra and after thirty years still in disbelief. Sometimes my wife will walk in on me when I'm getting changed and for some reason I'm covering myself up and then my wife will make the comment of after all these years I'm still embarrassed in front of her. One would think after all these years eventually it would become normal but for me it just doesn't. I'm so happy she is coming around and hopefully there are more happy eventful things like this will happen again soon. Cheers!

My wife has a firm rule that I not enter our bedroom while she is getting dressed. Neither one of us object or have any concern if she enters the bedroom while I'm getting dressed. My wife is a much more "private" person than I am on several different levels.

I suspect your wife felt she simply didn't want to make an issue out of what you were wearing at the moment Heather.

Heather - how nice to feel like one of the ladies. I think at least some wives are able to get more accustomed to our dressing as time goes on. Mine has, and even mentioned to me once that in a way it?s better if I just dress feminine consistently rather than back and forth fem and male because as she said, she gets used to it.
We actually give each other space when getting dressed. To see me in the process I wouldn?t mind but not sure that will ever happen.
