For many of us, it is the fear of being outed, if they are in the closet or in a DADT relationship. The more personal info you divulge, the greater the chance someone will connect the dots and out you.

For others, divulging our age sort of spoils the illusion, if our feminine self seems a great deal younger than our real age. How many real girls will happily admit they are much older than they look. I can pass for a lady half my age when fully en-femme. When I am out and about en-femme I will admit my age if asked directly, but I prefer not to say how old I am.

In a forum like this, I don't mind stating it. I'm actually 59, and I live in Eugene, Oregon, USA. I'm pretty much out in my community, so I don't care if someone 'connects the dots' about me.
