Your female name *merged threads*

i ended up choosing veronica when i was around 13... it was the name of a girl in my class i thought was really pretty. not sure if the name really suits me anymore. maybe as i progress more ill find out the answer.

I simply picked Jessi after a girl that I used to know and respected. I use Jessi for online. However, the name that I use in life is Hanna Rose. I'm not exactly sure, why I use different names for online and in life but I do that in male mode as well.

Carrie is what my parents would have named me if I were born female. I wasn't creative enough to come up with something on my own. I am fine with being male, in case anyone was wondering.

hi...i have 4 names not including our last name .....male ... noel ( no-el ) french .. its a female gender .. edward. masculine.. the other two are .prussian. i dont have as yet a change to fem for those . now. they are noeleena .. edwina.. so it looks like my mum knew that my name was female to start with .......OH WOW..... i just found out ....i know she would have liked a girl.......... she had one all the time ....yea...on sunday last i went through our pics & yes i was dressed girl.e .. that was neat to find out ......
As to why i chose my name i have a friend whose name was like my female name just spelt differently so i chose noeleen . when i was over in phuket a nurse said no . no . to my name. then said its noeleena .... so its stayed i have had so much help from lots of people along my way its been so neat the other name i thought okay just fem it so thats it .. well every one knows me to well so having a completly different set of names would not work so i still get called no-el .... yea its cool ..... last name is Loch-head... & its all legal as well

I took mine after my second name which seems to have been on the male side of both my parents families for generations. Don't know if there has been a Georgia before though. I just liked the sound of Rose with Georgia:)

Gemma would have been my name if I was born a genetic girl. I kind of like it, so decided to go with that when I chose my name.

Leslie is my real (middle) name.

I just picked mine out of thin air. Just thought it sounded good and rolled off the tongue.

My name is Emma simply because i feel that it is a very feminine name.Most girls i have ever met named Emma have been blonde as well, i prefer blonde wigs. Like the Emma's i have met i like to be very girly.

Kelly is my actual middle name.

I don't know why but I've always liked the name Brianna so thats why I chose it!!!

I picked Jennifer because I had a crush on a girl named Jennifer when I was kid and although I moved on, a part of me still has that crush. :)

I picked my name by searching for names that can be male and female and then just found it - bang! That was a very special moment. The only reason I did all that was because I needed a name for my account here and then it turned out to be a big change in my life because I really never thought about that before.

I found myself admiring a girl in 1st grade and wishing I was her.

When I thought that I should have a female name some time ago, I immediately thought of her and knew the name was the right one for me.

In fact I have adored the two women I have known named Megan in my life.

For some reason, I added the H to Megan to make it Meghan.

I have had many discussions with other TS's and how their female name was chosen.

It seems for most of them, the name chooses you instead of vice versa.

In my case, as I was unconsciously changing to be an outwardly female person little by little, and unknown to me as such, I was experimenting with being female on the net instead of male. I also created an email with my new legal name on it in Feb 2007.

Only God knows why I used that name. My Epiphany and transition day to 24/7 was July 2, 2007. The very first time someone asked me what should we call you, I answered immediately Lainie. Somehow, I just KNEW that was my real name. In Nov. I filed to change it legally, to have 4 names, my 3rd one being the feminine form of my original middle (going by!) name. I had also changed the spelling to that early in 2007, not knowing why either except I liked it better. My real name became my legal name on Jan 9, 2008. It seems like that has been my name all my life.

My second name is a name I have loved all my life that I can remember, it is ANNE, and my old initials were AN.

I changed my last name too, matching my email since I felt a two syllable name went better with Lainie than a one syllable (original) name.

Why is my name Lainie? only the supreme beings know the answer to that, I sure don't.

Nothing too exciting about my choice of name, when I was young I remembered my primary school teacher reading 'Charlottes Web' to us and how she brought the story to life...

And I knew with the way I feel ultra Feminine when Charlotte I needed a very soft very femme name I guess.

I was a big Dr ho fan, and in the 70's was infatuated with Sarah-Jane, Dr Who's assistant. She had a boobed hair style which to this day I still try to imitate.

So it was natural for me to be "Sarah"

Mine was from a mini crush I had when I was 12/13. I was a big fan of DR Who and at the time his assistant was Sarah-Jane. I so much wanted to be her and I always put me in her role when watching. I thought she was sophisticated and smart but still quite feminine.

Alana. The nurse that helped deliver me MANY years ago turned out to be my best friend's mother. She has ALWAYS called me Alana. It was a natural. Any guess what my host Male's name is???

Well a few of you might have noticed that I have requested and received a modification to my name. I was Leslie Ann S(hy) and Now it is a les common and more awkard sounding of Leslie Mary S(hy). The reason is simple. My 72 year old girlfrind of 3 years (Mary) passed away 2/22/2009. I wanted to honor her so I took up her name as part of mine.
Yes she know about my crossdressing.

I have absolutely no idea why I picked Shianna. Somehow it just simply came to me.

I like it. One site gives the meaning as "Oath to God." I just found that, and oddly it sort of matches me and my approach to the concept of honesty.
