I chose Jen because of a girl in high school that i thought had amazing style and would wear what she wanted. Like stiletto heels to school.. :)

Hi girls. This my first post :) I bought a set of 2nd hand sports gear from a GG friend called Emer (E-mer) who had written her name on all her stuff, and it became a sort of affectionate nickname for me in the club because I was walking around with Emer, Emer, Emer written all over me. Later I decided I needed a girl name and I figured... well, I kind of have one already, so E-mer it is. Eemz is just a variant of that like Jaz for Jasmine
Bea is just a substitute for B which is one of my initials.
I named myself Star which is something I have a tattoo of and is modified version of my name.
I picked out my name for an online game character. I wanted to be a female in it. I picked Barbara because I have known a lot of Barbaras and they all seemed to be very nice people. I couldn't think of any that weren't.
For as long as I can remember I've always been drawn to the name Natalie, but I have a list of about 20 different names that I'm trying to decide on. It's a struggle.
Haley, Kayla, and Amber are a few top contenders too.
Sorsha Willow is just a combination of characters from the movie "Willow"....lol. Sorsha is a beautiful name though...
Think jezola works for me dressed or not ?
I’ve had a couple but Katrina/Kat is here to stay. My wife and I have a little inside joke where we say things or each other are “like a cat” and it’s kind of an uber feminine performance of that line. When I questioned the names I had chosen for myself, I thought if I’m like a cat, why not just be a Kat. Coming out to my wife was such a major positive milestone in my life, that I consider Katrina’s birthday to be that day... so I thought it fitting that one of our feminine little games would inspire my name. I also wanted something with the same first letter as my real name, so that I could get cards issued with just my first initial.
I just feel like a Lauren when I'm dressed. Don't know why...
I knew a woman named Joan. She and I were a lot alike, though never together. If I were to be a woman, I would want to be like her, H\hence Joannie
I never picked a female name until relatively recently. I looked on the Social Security Administration's web site and found lists of the most common names by birth year. Looking up my male first name, I then found the corresponding female name (either by rank or by percentage, I forget which). Since most people know me by the diminutive form of my male name, I decided to adopt the diminutive form of the female name. Thus Becky was born.

I think I replied to this thread when I first joined here in 2012, so I hope this won't be too monotonous for anyone. I picked the name of the hot female star of Futurama. I didn't know initially that her name is spelled Leela, but I prefer my spelling anyway. Leela is a unique character with good looks and nice voice, i.e. the voice of the woman who starred on Married with Children, Katey Sagal. I prefer frilly, girly dresses or skirts, whereas Leela usually wears slacks. Here's a pic: https://dienachtderlebendentexte.fil...urama-7-08.jpg
Oh my, I think I have answered tis once before! My nme, Roxanne, is from the female character in Edmond Rostand's 1897 verse play Cyrano de Bergerac. Cyrano pretends he is in love with her, but in reality, is in love with her. Oh, it should happen to me!
Roxanne
I'm Dan.Dan but you can call me Michelle, I'm from Grand Rapids, Michigan
Joanna, a combination of my two male names ☺
I get Rissa from a girl I had a crush on in high school named Marissa, I just shortened it. It like it, it's cute and sexy. haha
I didn't decide to have a name for myself while cross dressing until I had someone close enough to me to open up to about it. After opening up to my wife she asked if I had a name and i told her no because I didn't need a name until I had someone to actually call me by that name. So after a few days of thinking and a few different ideas, and making private lists of names Elena was one of the ones that was on both of our lists. So we went with that :)
Jeanette is the name of a friends wife who I just think is amazing so was an ideal choice I think
"Prudence" was taken.
Hello ,my name is Emmajane,
I like it do you, tell if you do
Eliana is my name. The meaning of names mean a lot to me, so does the meaning of this name.
I'm sure that it's pretty easy to figure out where "Shawna" came from...I've always loved the female derivative of my given name...it rolls smoothly off the tongue...and I never have to stop and think when someone asks my name!
I went with Robin as it pretty close to my other side 😁
my means Universal Woman
love emma jane
I like my name as it is also pretty, and sometimes my friends call me Kim when I am in drab mode,
which is quite nice as, nobody bats an eyelid.
Kimber...x
My spouse said I looked like a Michelle so here I am with the "g" added for girl
Michelle, That is always very good to have ones spouse make a nice comment like that.
Crissy
My gf said it was perfect for me.
Hi.
I figured this would be a good spot for my first post.
It seems like a lot of folks picked names because of girls/women they liked. I did too, I was too scared to ask her out though (teenage time, am I right?) but I also chose it because Emily Dickinson is my favorite poet.
It means Industrious and Striving so I'm also hoping it helps me to be better at both of those things.
Angela uhmm
she is really beauty one women and yesss she is citizen and im a fan for her.
I like the simplicity of it and also how it sounds strong and feminine at the same time to me. Also when I looked at the meaning and origin online ("complete" or "whole") I completely agreed and decided to keep it. :D
I was in the first volume but I thought I would retell the tale.
As I was going to school I was the class runt. I became the target of much mischief. I was frequently called Leslie.
When I first needed a name I naturally used Leslie. I later learned that if I had been female at birth I would have been Emma or Leslie.
When I signed on here I added Mary, the name of my last (now deceased) girlfriend.
My last name is a statement of the fact I am shy. In public I play the extrovert so that I can control the conversation to keep everyone away from the real shy me.
Of further interest is that my father remarried and had a daughter who he named Leslie.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it (for know).
Been married 5 years but living with my wife for 15 years. She is a huge Buffy the Vampire series fan so I bought her all of the seasons many years ago. I watched them all with her and she knew I was into cross dressing after a couple of years of being together so she started calling me Drewcilla since that is the name of a vampire on the show and I go by Drew. One day when I finally go out dressed up I will probably use a different name but until then I like Drewcilla.
I'm new to this, and don't really refer to myself by a female name, but I wanted to make one up for the forum. I envy the gurls who have masculine names that have an obvious feminine equivalent (like Stephen -> Stephanie, or Michael -> Michelle). I googled my actual name (David) a little, but the only thing I found as a feminine version was "Davina", which I didn't like and no one has ever heard of. But I liked the name Darci, and it starts with the same first 2 letters, so I went with it (at least for now).
I chose my female name after seeing a picture of a girl twenty years ago in a user forum on AOL. She had brown hair, beautiful eyes and was very attractive.
Well my name really was about my appearance and the way it flowed together. Something that seems "legit" and like an actual girls name. I was using the name gwen_lovsit on Yahoo but seeing as how it was more of just a sign in style name I looked at myself and said who do you look like and just like that Maggy Gweneth Lyn was born. Sounds cute and love the way flows..I think it matches me pretty good.
I have always liked the name Ashley. But then when I looked up the meaning of the name, did not appeal to me. so I added Lynne to the end of my name to make it more unique. Then I added a middle name of Rose as I love roses and the color of pink. My last name I chose from the lady who suggested that I crossdress.
My name became Ashlynne Rose Holm
I'd never given it a thought until I joined this forum .My Christion name is George so Georgia seemed natural
I have a friend with the name Laura Jane, and the first name to close to my other side.
I was in exercise class with a woman named Laura and sometimes she & I would hear our own name when they really called other.
I loved it!
My full female name is an anagram. And it's a family name. And I liked it.
Anne
I chose my name somewhat randomly a couple years back, before I did my first makeover with a couple of CD friends. I wanted an ethnic sounding name to match my looks. Not sure if I want to keep this name but so far I like it.
Maya
Being of Irish decent, I chose Jade as my handle. I had no idea it also meant a disreputable woman. Can I change it?
Hi All, My Name would have been Samantha if i was born a girl. I know this as my mom told me and so I have named myself Samantha or Sammy since i was a young teen.
In the American old west the term Jaded woman might be applied to a 'working' woman. To me Jade is a precious to semi-precious stone. I have even made some necklaces out of neftrite Jade from Alaska. Therefore I think it is a precious and lovely name.
idk... for me it's always Hannah :P at least thats what my family calls me
My Female name would have be Samantha... my Mom told me that it would have been if i was board a girl.
