Change is for the young, the idealistic, and most importantly, those for whom a change in society's opinions and behaviors will actually CHANGE something in their own lives. The people who built this country had tremendous things to gain, and that is what drove them in their quest to create it. Women had tremendous things to change, about both their own lives, and their daughters. Homosexuals had, and still have, things to gain by continually working to make their sexual preferences and behaviors a non issue when dealing with everything else.
However, the change that I, as I am today, personally, would need, takes millenniums. It will take a fundemental shift in female genetic predispositions to what they're inherently attracted to, and sexually turned off by, to make a significant change in my life, and the lives of most of us here. Because being comfortably tolerated by others isn't going to change my life; I already have that as a closeted person. I have no overwhelming need to live my life accepted as a guy who prefers to go out in public in a dress, safe from attack.
I would need women in general to find us not just tolerable, or acceptable, but actually attractive as potential mates. And I don't see that happening, because it is not something that they could choose, any more than I can change what turns me on and off.
Because as I've written many times before, if we were able to choose what turns us on and off, I'd choose to get turned on by ugly, fat women with bad hair, a bad complexion, and a nasty disposition; I'd be having so much sex that I'd have to quit my job. But life doesn't work that way.
