I think it makes sense for each person in a marriage to do what he or she does best or likes to do. There's no reason to be constrained to "traditional gender roles". We no longer have the husband going to work each morning wearing a suit and tie while the wife stays home wearing a dress and heels cooking and cleaning.
My wife and I share all aspects with no male/female gender role assignments. It?s all totally conscious and understood. The only thing good about COVID-19 is while sequestered, I dress everyday, which I love. I?m blessed with a supportive wife. It might be time to sit and discuss your feelings and hers to gain some understanding and compromise to relieve you of your insecurities.
