I retired almost 2 yrs ago. Last year we became empty nesters and moved to the country. I now dress more or less 24/7. When I go out I wear womens slacks, sweaters or blouses, and a hint of makeup including a light lipstick. My hair is now longer than I've ever had it and so it can be puffed up. It's naturally wavy I've found.
We love my new opportunities.

I'm on an early retirement plan. Of course it makes my x-dressing life a lot easier...
I am still pretty busy? Adn I don't mind at all as it allows me to trave rather frequently and go out "en femme" when I'm far from my home town...
When at home it is less frequent that I x-dress, first of all because my wife doesn't want to se me "en femme", secnd, now that I have had a taste of going out "en femme" dressing at hiome is somewhat less attractive... Yet, my retirement permits me to spend long periods "en femme" at home when my wife is on business trips...

Don't you know that with all this time one your hands, your wife and family have a list of things for you to do so that you are not bored?

I am too have retired for just over 2 years and I find so much more time to CD. Mainly at home. I have a few days on my own as my wife is away and I am dressed now and will be dressing enfem for the next few days. Went out and bought a nightdress in drab with stockings, panties and bra under!

Oh, the topic was retirement...yah, been retired for a long time, used to dress much more at first when wife was out caring for the needs of others, but she doesn't get out as much now.

I'm retired, on a holiday, or self-employed depending on my mood.
My experience with CD opportunities is the opposite of many here. When I was an employee I had plenty of scope for dressing. I organized my own work. I had as much solitude and privacy as I wanted as well as access to mirrors and washing facilities. I did ah.. make use of these opportunities but, in hindsight, I could have done much more.
Then I retired from my day job. My CD-ing all but stopped except for occasional sessions, you see I had never told my wife about my CD-ing. (Yeah, I know....) Eventually, I could stand it no longer and 'fessed up. She did not take it well and several more drought years followed before we found some solutions...thanks mainly to the marvelous people and advice in here. This place has been a lifeline for me.
Now I can dress within certain agreed limits. In some ways I have much more freedom, no more hiding of my stash, for example. It is right here in the wardrobe alongside my guy clothes. We even share makeup and some of our clothes and have been to a few TG parties. In other ways my freedom is still restricted due to my wifes insistence that nobody in our neighborhood must know. This means no going out in daylight, for instance. In fact, she is *very* jumpy about me going outside at all. I can live with that for now though. I'm grateful we have managed to get this far.
So, things are now pretty good and getting better. Much better than I expected even a year ago.
Not only am I retired, but brand new to this forum. My wife works, so I have the time to indulge.
This has been a desire since I was a teenager, but I have to admit that buying what I want is proving to be a bit daunting. So far, I have not gotten up the courage to go shopping. Mail order, so far, but I have to be careful with the deliveries.
I live near Cincinnati. If anyone can direct me to shops that are "friendly", I would be most appreciative.
I hope to retire in 3-5 yrs. I sometimes think about how my hopefully new found free time will effect my marriage. My wife wants no part of my femme side. I sometimes worry that with more free time we might drift apart. I know that I want to dress more. But at what price?

Been retired for a while now and have moved to the country where I can dress when ever I want. Heck my wife never knows who will come out of the bedroom, Carol Ann or her husband.
It really doesn't matter as she is 100% supportive of my CDing and said I have worked long and hard enough and it time for me to enjoy my life of retirement, 69 and going strong :love:
I guess I am as retired as I will ever get. I work enough to stay in the business and take off about as much as I want to to travel and dress. I just wish I could dress at work, but that will never happen.

Very much so Shiny. I am a 100% disabled veteran from the USMC and also live alone. So I have the same feelings as you are expressing. I can dress anyway I want or go naked when I want. And you will find me dressing in my Roberta Llyan clothing more often than any other clothing. For I have come to almost hate my "boy mode" clothing. I feel so awkward or odd in it but so MYSELF in my "girl mode" clothing.Quote:

I have been retired for 2 years and love it. I get dressed every morning for a few hours and do housework. I love doing housework in heels. I try not to spend the whole day dressed unless I have things to do in the house that I can do dressed. There are so many other things that have to be done around the house and things outside that I enjoy doing, I make sure I change back to male mode and acomplish something every day.
I often wonder what it would be like to relocate from New York State all the way down to Florida. Live alone for the most part, leaving the adult full grown offsprings up north, to visit once in a great while, and be able to explore my cross dressing. Having a bedroom entirely for "AnneKathleen"

I took an early retirement buy-out in 1997, then as we were getting ready to move to NC in 1998, my wife said she wanted a separation. Wasn't CD related, because I had not yet discovered my femme self. Retirement and separation provided a perfect environment when I did discover that I liked being feminine, at least part time. The missus and I are still semi-together - we live 5 miles apart, travel together, and attend church together. She knows now about "me" but pretty much ignores it. I enjoy dressing up (as I am now), but I do have to walk the dog, and am not out to my neighbors. So, I have to ditch Donna Marie when it is time to do that.

Ten months and counting to the big R Day.
I retired as an engineer after 30 years and now my SO and I have our CDL and bought a truck. I guess I'm semi-retired, out 3-4 weeks ans home a week. Still manage to dress a couple times a week!
Soon I hope I'll 60 next month :hugs:

forced early retirement do to dissablity,,im only 45 but i have not workd in 4 years do to mental and physical problems,,,but i did wear my pantyhose on the job and sure some found out but so what life goes on,,i am in a skirt nearly every day and am always in my pantyhose..:D
I'm 58 so it will b a while yet. lookin to retire at 62 but will keeep an eye on my health if I feel good i'll work another year. and then year by year til i'm 65 then no more work, just play time.:thumbsup::tongueout
I retired from the Air Force back in 88, and now will be retiring from driving a semi in 20 months. However not much will change in regards to my dressing. I underdressed for 15 years now and the wife will let me dress in the house . I can also go out dressed as long as I take it out of our town. So yes I do go out in public enfemme.

Retired for 10 years now but working as hard as ever. Retirement jobs don't pay as much but they are much more fun and less tiring. I look forward to summer when my wife and I work summer jobs and have different days off. Since I am in the closet, this gives me more time to spend dressed. Bottom line: retirement has provided me with much more time to spend as Lisa....:poppy01:
I am almost at the retirement stage. Though not single I sometimes think if I was I would compile a list of other people like myself who I would like to meet,buy an RV and drive around the country dressed up as much as possible and visit these folks. Would be a great way to spend the summer.
Been retired for 3 years now, and it has been wonderful. After my lady goes to work, a shower and then in heaven. Being able to dress all day has had all the positive aspects on my psychological peace of mind, however been difficult on my pocketbook. My lady retires soon, so changes are in the wind.
