I can remember trying my mom's stockings and lipstick at about 3 or so. 53 now.
My first memory was at 5 dressing in my friends sister's dress that she had for dress up in their basement. Pretty much all the rest of the time since. I'll be 54 in a couple of months so 49 years.
11 yrs old and I am 57 off and on for the 1st 30 yrs, everyday for the past 6 yrs
I am 52 years old.
I guess I started at around the age of 7 or 8?
Started around age 10 or 11 and now turing 30 May 30th this year.
Lets see...On my own I have been CDing for 52-3yrs in the service = 49 years.
Can't beat you....I've only been cding for 51 yrs lol. 56, and started when i was 5
I am 63 and have been tg for 60 years
After reading the replies, I've just learned why my 5-plus years of dressing have seemed like a frenetic sprint to try to learn EVERYTHING! I'm 60 but I'm a quick learner! I'm so impressed with all of you!

Off and on since I was 12. That makes it 44 years total. Sometimes it was often, other times it would be several years between putting something on. Didn't really try makeup and a wig until I was 40. No success until I tried it again at 50!
I do not consider any childhood (under ten) trying on any of my mother's clothing to be cross-dressing. That would be somewhat akin to playing dress up. I first dressed as a woman in my early teens. That's fifty years. As to really getting into being en femme, that's the last decade.
Started at 13 am 46 and cannot stop. It just is such a part of me and brings me to a blissful place that nothing else does....
I'm 52, with all the positive feedback I've received on my looks this will probably surprise a few but I've been dressing for (2) two weeks.
Talk about a natural!
I first dressed in my sisters clothes when I was ..9? Her idea to swap, I think. I then snuck around trying on her gym and school stuff for a couple of years, tried on some of my mums stuff, but that didn't fit so well, when I reached my late teens, bought some pantyhose, ( i just wear them as a thermal layer, honest! ) Bought some dancewear, anything I could claim to be buying "for a costume" or like that. Developed a serious fetish for stretchy fit stuff in my twenties, had a small stash, went out one foggy morning in a long sleeved unitard underneath, slipped out of top layer in the woods, then went jogging in the unitard. Not anywhere I was likely to be seen. When i got into cycling, It sort of went away, ( interesting side note, my first pair of cycling shorts was given to me by a girl, had to bite my tongue and not say "I thought it would be harder to get into your shorts" :D ) then, when decent mens underwear were hard to find when I moved to N.A. tried panties again, eventually found the styles and sizes that fit, now underdress exclusively, unless expecting to strip somewhere, ( Doctors etc ) 55 now, so.. call it 46 years, but not continuously. I've never dressed fully, unless you count that jogging session, not had much of an urge to do so. I do have a feminine side, but I don't think there's a girl inside. I do want to be considered sexy, beautiful even, but as a man. I would like to go out in something that completely flaunts my body, but such is not acceptable in most of the world, for men at least.
I'm 41, and had started my interest in women's clothing at the tender age of 4. Been dressing off and on since then, but it has taken a life of it's own in my late 30's. Now doing it as often as possible.
53 years and have enjoyed every second of it!
just started...2 mos. & I'm 50.....so far really enjoying every minute.
I can't say for sure when I started. I have memories of wearing my mom's panties when I was about 7. I think it started before that. I'm now 51.
Started at age 12 and now am 54......whoa.......
I started crossdressing last summer starting with denim skirts. I purchased sandals and a dress, and then found some clothes that my ex-wife left in the house when she left me that fit me. So I am just a newbe, but I am brave enough to wear dresses for walks in the neighborhood. I do remember when I was a boy I would clomp around with my mother's heels and wear her dresses, as also did my brothers. I do remember a feeble attempt to convert a pair of shorts into a skirt by cutting the material between the legs when I was 5 years old. I had no sisters.

I've been an active crossdresser for about 37 yrs. I did some things off and on prior to that since I was 4 or 5. I'm 67 years old currently. Darn, just a little behind with no chance of catching up.
I started around age 12 that I can remember and I'm 51 now
First time at the age of 4. Regularly after 13, how old am I now? As old as my tongue and a little older than my teeth. I don't kiss and tell. I remember when nylons had a seam that had to run straight down the back of your leg, and girdles were the norm.
I was born a crossdresser, so I have been transgender or a crossdresser my whole life. I was aware of it around age 6 although didn't understand it. I was in a state of confusion until a few years ago when I found this site. That is when I realized that I was not the only one on the planet. I learned I was born this way and will die this way weather I participate, admit it to myself, get the worlds blessing to be myself, or come to terms with this is who I am and enjoy the ride. Thank you to all the ones who have come before me and helped me to understand myself. I no longer feel guilty for being born. I wish I had understood this 30 years ago, my life would have been much different.
I've had feelings of crossdressing ever since I can remember. I can remember being so envious of my sisters' Easter dresses when all I got a stupid coat and tie. I think I acted on my desires when I was a pre-teen, so I've been crossdressing for about 30+ years. I'm 47 now. I have cherished every second of it.
I started at age four, and now have 54 years under my skirt!
I started around age 12, Now 51, Stopped for about 10 years after My wife and I got married,
so 51-12-10=29
I guess the answer is 29 then.
I have been crossdressing all my life as far back as I can remember
I don't even come close to 65 years. I first started to crossdress when I was 4 years old, so 22 years. I found one of my sisters skirts on the floor and tried it on. My Mum caught me and asked if I wanted to wear a skirt to school the next day. I said no.
I wonder what would have happened if I said yes.
First I can remember is age five when forced to wear panties by my Mother. Never quit even while in the services 24 years, nor since retirement.Enjoy partical and full dressing, home and out even at the present age of 73. vivianfair
Cathy, you are the only one who beats my record so far! And not by very much. I will be 79 in May! If I had skipped that 5 years of stopping I would be even closer to you. I might have to come to New EWngland to meet you. I have been there before and love the area. Please PM me and let me know where you live!
I think I may have started at 9 and I'm 61 now, so 52 years...
What this thread shows is just how easily crossdressing is cured! lol Good education here for someone that doesn't believe that it is a trait we are born with..lol
I will be 57 this year, I started when I was 10 so that would be 47 years
First time must have been 7 and last time was 44, since then whenever I put on women's apparel I am just putting clothes on!
Hi Stephanie, 68 years old now and lovin life.
As well as I can remember I was 5years old that's 63years of dressing.
I would like to have a Dime for every pair of hose that I put a finger or toe through.

I'm 50 and have been dressing since I was 8--42 years now
28, been dressing since age 14
Started trying things on at around eleven or twelve years old. I was twenty-two when I accepted it and started buying my own things. I'm thirty-two now. I absolutely love it!
I was probably around 12 when I discovered my mother's wedding dress hanging in a garmet bag in the basement. I had to try it on, and that pretty much sealed it for me. I've dressed on and off ever since then. I'm 47 now.
As many of you I started at 6 yo with my mom clothes, but until I was 22 I started buying my own stuff, and when I turn 27 I started doing it mor continously, now I am 32.
I started dressing when I was about 8. Soooooooooooo that is about 5 decades:eek: I still need alot of work. As I age I find the dressing is just as enjoyable as ever. It is nice that I am in such nice company here! Thanks Joni:)
I think I was 7 when it all started, I'll be 57 this year. And still going strong. So only 50 years for me.
Started a little around the 14 mark and than after coming out of the military at age 24, did it maybe a couple of times a month. only in the last 20 or so years have I gotten to dress more than once a week. Went out in Vegas about 10 years ago and loved it. Don't go out in public around where I live, I know to many people. I do have a makeover when I go to Vegas and do go out when out there. Only wish I would have started going out in public at an earlier age. You do get more comfortable each time. Only 3 people know that I dress, and it will stay that way. Now over 65.
I just started, sooooo yep. Not sayin how old I am LOL
Crossdressing for 11 months, and I'm 19 years old (20 in August)
Between 4-5 decades...
I started in my teens, didn't do much after high school, a little in mid 40's, and now for the past 6 years, pretty much every day. I'm near on to 68.
There are so many here who are born between 1939 and and 1961 and I wonder about something I read a while back, which was that pregnant mothers were given DES routinely during those years to prevent miscarriage. THere was some indication that the women who did get DES and had female babies, some of those girls were likely to be lesbians. So while we are all males, I wonder whether we became interested in being Cders for the same chemical reasons? I am not interested in men, and so as a crossdresser I'm still interested in women ( does that equal lesbian interests?)
I am 44 years old and have been crossdressing since age 11 or 12, only the clothing, no make up or wig.
Upon discovering and joining this forum in late 2008 I had my first attempt at using make up and wearing a wig......wow what a thrill.
Progressed a few months later to getting out and about in public, wow what a double thrill. Life has been wonderful ever since. :daydreaming:
