I stole my name 'Jane' from one of my favourite rock bands - 'Jane's Addiction'. Seemed appropriate, and I like the name.
There's no reason other than I find Jessica to be a beautiful name.
In my case, Madilyn was a classmate of mine in 5th grade, the short story is I would go over her home to help her do her homework. She had few friends so we became very close. She already wore lipstick and stockings to school, I was in love ! Long story short, I became her little sister when no one was home. I so wanted to be her !! So I took her name. Thank you Madilyn where ever you are, your little sister..........Madilyn
From Jerry to Sherri easy transformation
52 yr I was born
Sherri52
Ffor me Victoria for Victorious my last name in honor of a family member.
Brianna Brown
Brianna being an Ex-GF of mine and Brown being my skin color :)
I got my name from a female friend who liked to use another name rather than my real one so a certain other person did not know lol.
My male name is brian...which turned into bronny..which tuned into Bronwyn which turned into Bron....and here i am.
I borrowed my femme name from a women I admired. She died many years ago doing what she loved. She was a powerful individual, who did not accept what society in the 60's and 70's felt a woman should be. She was a medical doctor when it was rare for a woman to be one, she was a boat captain of her own yacht, and she was a very competent Scuba instructor. She died from an air embolism after a scuba dive. She was one of the medical diving officers on the early saturation diving experiments by the USNavy. I borrowed her name as a way of honouring her.
Tisha Ann Ryan
Panda 'cos thats wot I look like after a late night :)
I picked the name Alexis because it just sounded like a girl that has a lot of fun. It also sounds like a girl that is hot sultery. I am still trying to come up with a last name for my self.
I picked my name years ago, quite by accident. My middle name is Terry. I love to dress in miniskirts and see through blouses, looking rather ****ty. I equated ****ty as being shady? Thus Shadyterri.
My name is a tender subject with me. I first picked a different name for myself a few years ago. But it never really felt right. So I asked my mother what my name would have been, she told me Carrie Ann. I have been using it ever since and it feels so right and natural to me. I have filed with the State for a name change as well....:2c:
Alice, I just think it's nice
rachel always gave me a good feeling inside it made me happy put a spring in my step if you gals know what i mean.:)
Despite what i said in my introduction i think today that i decided on my female name.
Diannarose suggestes Philipa and i thought that sounded kind of, well, old :P
but i thought of a girl i know called Philipa and her nickname.
So from now on, call me Pipa :)
No special origin or meaning. It's just one of those funny names, but less obvious than a name like "Jim Shu". It doesn't exactly look funny when you read it, it's funny when you say it.
Don't believe me? Ask my brother Ben.
Never realy had one but as my female feelings are getting stronger I kind of going with Zoe. Do you lot think I am a Zoe.
Zoe is a nice name, and if you're comfortable with it then us lot will get used to it. So :welcom: Zoe
I chose Gillian, reason one after the most beautifully perfect woman I ever knew and the one who has left an influence on my femme persona, an Air Hostess by profession and if you met her, you WOULD remember her, and second, quirky enough, one that flows with my real second name so looked good in sound and on paper ha ha ha.
Ha! That's a good question!
First and foremost, I wanted to avoid the easy way out of feminizing my male name. I wanted something as far away from that as possible.
Plus, I guess I always liked Gabriella, it's fun, young, hip, glam, happy-go-lucky, kind of reflects my femme personality!
I was born in April.
I was also aiming for this, but somehow my ideas of getting a name of Victoria, Samantha or such didn't really feel fitting for some reason.
So I chose Erica. My (male) name is not Eric, and it's not actually even that close, but still I consider that it was a bit leading.
It was a spur of the moment thing -- literally the first thing that popped in my head when I started on the MSN chat rooms a long time ago and someone asked me my name.
I remember it was very exhilarating to have a femme name.
Sara Q is actually the name of my ex girlfriend. So I simply took the name from her !
I went out with a dominant girl who gave me a girly name a different way. We put on a random porn and I was to get the first name that came up. Candi was the name she gave me. Anyone know if a good name to make from the name Ken besides the obvious of course...Kendra etc. This girl would often call me Kim if friends where around because it sounded like Ken so she could get away with it.
When I was thinking about it one time when I was dressed, I thought I wanted to look like this girl I used to have a crush on Amy, and the last name came from this girl who sits next to me in class, and she is amazing, last name Harper, so that's were I got Amy Harper from.
I find that the name selction process very interesting. Many say the now have the name of the girl that got away, or inspired them,
Many of you feminize your male name, (I partly did too)
Then there are those who go to a totally different name for assorted reasons.
All and in all it has been very interesting.
For me Leslie is both a feminized version of my name and also my half-sisters name.
My middle name used to be Ann but I changed it to Mary in memory of a lady friend who passed away last year.
The last name of Shy is how I am. I tend to be an extrovert in public to hide my shyness.
But I have never used any of my two wives names.
Janet Louise (wife of 36 years - now deceased) or Joyce Louses - Divorced.
So keep telling all of us the source of the inspiration for your names.
I chose mine from a cousin I have. She often talked to me about my feminine side when we were young.
I chose mandy cause it was convenient. (Just throw an M before my real name). However, someone at a botique just told me it doesnt fit and cause I have more of an exotic look and should go for a more exotic name.

Andrea, which is a feminine form of my boy name.
I picked Lindsay because that's what my mother would've named me if I was born a girl. And I picked Clark as my last name because that was my first girlfriend's last name. My real name is Lance Churchill.
well my male name is Tony, so i added an a. weird tho... when i was still REALLY young (like 12-14) i liked that name as well. i don't know what my mom would have named me if i was born female...lol maybe i will ask her one day for sheets and gigles. it's kinda hard tho cause sometimes i'll write Tony and start to put the a at the end and realize what i'm doing...opps lol. maybe it a good thing tho???
When I first started posting online, the name Felicity just felt right. Not really sure why. I didn't watch the tv show, but it may have somehow been an inspiration. Can't say. But I like it :)
I chose the name Sara Claire. I like it.
I went decades without a girl's name. Every once in a while I would try out a name, let it roll around in my head for a time, but nothing ever seemed to fit. I tried the typical feminine form of my givin name, names of girls I had crushes on, etc. Then one day this past fall it just hit me, a bolt out of the blue. I tried it on and it fit perfectly. It bears no relationship to my given name or that of anyone I know or have known, but I'm really happy with my choice.:)
Wendy
I took Alice in honor of my mother, I was her only child. She impressed me with her feminity and confess I experimented with her lingerie , undetected I assume. Until i had to ask for her help with a college fraternity task, dressing like a girl for a pledge party. She smiled and said shed help get me some things of my own as hers seem to strech out and move about her drawers lately. Off we went to her favorite dress shop owned by our neighbor. They went to town and in no time I had a corset, hose and black skirt&top. Stopped at Macys for a pair of pumps and on the day of the party, she took over and transformed me. Hair in curlers , painted nails for the first time. Styled my hair and had bought clip on earrings
Had a blast at the party and was by far the most overdressed pledge
I might have to ask for some advice. I've got a few possible names but I can't decide which one. I've tossed around the names Anastasia and Elizabeth. Anastasia after The Baroness from Gi Joe mythologies, of which I am still a fan some 20 years later. Elizabeth is after Elizabeth Hulette who was known simply as Miss Elizabeth from the World Wrestling Federation in the 1980's. Elizabeth was the epitome of class and The Baroness is the epitome of sexiness.
hello, been a member for a while but not posted, when i dress up i like to call myself Kat, short for Katrusya, a Ukrainian name that i like
Well, I just feel sooooo drab. I merely feminized the spelling of my name from John to jonni. I find it easy to remember:)
The first human hair wig I bought was called Alex and I added Marie
it's similar to my real name, feminine in a genuine sort of way. There were a few particularly gorgeous Karens I've known in real life--perhaps I was going for bombeshell-by-association or something.
I've been around here for a while, and to tell the truth I just wanted to be the 1000th reply. Yes I know 1001, but the original post don't count! :tongueout
Oh yea, I'm Amanda!!!
a lady friend started calling me Robbie instead of Robert - makes me feel so female - crave being called Robbie now.
I was originally thinking of using Natalya(always loved the name), but kind of implies being Russian, and I have no trace of it in my background, even though I'm eventually wanting to learn Russian. So closest name I could think of to that was Natalie, then I guess i had to choose a middle name so went with Marie, was another name I liked and it seemed to fit with Natalie, and I found out the other day(which is kind of awkward), my straight male friend(the one i came out to the other day), personally loves that name, so we thought that was pretty funny when I told him.
Jennifer Laney. I like being called Jen, its short and sweet :)
My given name is Scott. Liked Sarah, cause it was similar, and really just a nice feminine name. Scott is such a hard sound while Sarah is just the opposite
I've always loved the name Katie so i thought i should be named Katie :)
