Still trying to figure out my name. Since I am just now embracing this side of me, I have never thought of giving myself a female name. Nothing feels right yet.
Arlene from Arlene Francis & Arlene Dahl.
Raquel comes from the gorgeous MsWelch.
"Dawn" is pretty close to my male name, so when someone calls out my (female) name I know to answer. :)
just the female version of my name. Plus I think it's cute :3
I chose the name Jamie Marion because it is bi-gender but predominantly feminine. Some boys are still named Jamie but mostly it is a girl's name. Marion with an "o" rather than an "a" also used to occasionally be a masculine name but it is now generally a feminine name. It seems to me that girls have more freedom than boys in names, and once a particular name starts being applied to girls it stops being used for boys. So for me my name connotes that I have chosen femininity over masculinity - I like thinking of myself as a girl and would prefer "selected" others to think of me as someone who was born masculine and is still biologically male but prefers to be considered as and addressed as a girl.
Mine was the first gal I dated
Hanlie is the female version of my male name. Just feels right to have two versions of the same thing, same as me. I also really like the name, it feels right to me.
Hanlie.
Mine is Julia :)
Mine is Adriana- a friend picked it out for me
Hi my female name is Joanie
My name is Sephina, years ago roughly 6 when i started playing WoW (before i identified as Trans) i made a human female paladin with black hair that i wanted to name a female variant of one of favorite video game character of all time Sephiroth. I ended up liking the name so much and i identified with my character so it stuck :D
Hey I have just joined this group. I am excited but don't know how to go ahead. I would love to be member of group forever
Robbin is close to my real name. It was the name used by my best friend's family.
Women were always my best and sometimes only friends. Another realization recently realized. Her name was Randy. She probably controlled the relationship which made me able to be at ease. Another realization recently realized.
Oh forgot, Sinclair. I think of the green logo dinosaur. Contemplated at first it was to be like an old fashion stripper's name. Now it has less importance. Like real names, the first one means a lot.
Robbin and her male counterpart are close. Being a family CD site, I won't tell you what that boy tries to do to her. Lucky she's in the program.
My husband still hasnt choosen one, after all these years he hasnt. He wants me to help him pick out his name but I'm stumped!!
Kitty. Friend chose it for me. Wife doesn't know it yet, so I imagine she may want a name change soon.
It's on my driver's licence! Thanks mom and dad, it was worth all the teasing in school.
Hi. My name is Sylvia which is close to my real name. I later added CD2 as a surname.
This has been coming for a while and I've been stumped. On the forum it's Annie M not really sure why... I don't really like the name. But after a week in fem with out much inspiration to go back and generally being accepted I was asked by one of the guys at work, "So what do we call you now?" And it came to me in that moment " Just put an ie on Bill " so I guess my famine name will be Billie Jean or just Billie. And it is a name that's in my family and its easy to answer to. Now the hoops to make it legal no clue.
Laura, always has been Laura. I used to put the "CD" after it when i was younger, but chatting with a very activist trans friend, she once told me "You don't need the CD thingy after your name, Laura should be enough for anybody". She has been a very strong influence in my ideas about gender. You choose a name for you, a name that has a meaning. Laura comes from latin, and it's related to victory. Since i found that what i am and what i want required some "fighting", i couldn't think about any other name. And the "wulff" is similar to my real surname, at least on the meaning side..
I chose Victoria because it was the first one that came to my mind (kind of like word association, or Rorshack inkblot tests). Now I realize its too long to comfortably say every time, so people would just call me Vicky. I don't like Vicky; it sounds too much like a ****ty stripper/hooker name :(
Maybe that says something about my subconscious?
Maybe I'm reading too much into it.
I spent ages swapping and changing and then was forces to decide on one when joining the Beaumont Society. So I settled on Sally Rebecca as I wanted to keep the same initials as my male name (I don't now know why I thought that important) and I wanted a simple name after meeting too many people with elaborate names. Also after Sally Bowles from the Christopher Isherwood books, Sally Solomon from third rock from the sun.
Sally
Not sure of my "female" name. Friends called me Clara when I was in high school, never really knew why but I like it. Maybe Kara (a longtime nickname) or Clara but I have to know who/what I am before.
Excuse me for my English, it stills a bit rusted.
Kara from Paris
Kevyn. My mom said I was going to Kevin or Kevyn whatever sex I was born. Of course I don't think she thought I was going to be both!
