It's a name I've always liked. It's pretty, feminine, and easy to remember. I love feeling feminine as much as I love feeling masculine, and I wanted my girl name to strongly reflect femininity.
I chose Jamey because I'm James, very close the lp is for two different things. 1 is my favorite panties, lace and 2 is my favorite guitar Les Paul. It's just me
I've always liked the name and when I was a teenager I use to use it for characters in games.
I have always liked the name Maria. It was the first name that came to mind and the first time anyone ever called me Maria it felt right, so I kept it.
I like Brenda. It sounds like the feminine me...
I chose Caryn a long time ago, for my inner self.
Sara was already taken so I went with Shara. After I got out of the orphanage my step dad used to call me Earline. Never cared for the name
for years my close friends call me sissy but now i want buy more clothes and wigs and dress more often, then sissy will be the wrong name.
I'm new to this and did not even think of this until I saw the thread - I think I'll try Elizabeth but call me Liz for short!
my name is the female form of my real name,so makes it easy when people call it
Mine is just derived from my username, though IRL I still go by my birth name as I quite like it.
My female name is Jaymee. I thought a long time about actually using my regular name (Jordyn) since not only is it a uni-sex name to begin with, but it already has a more feminine spelling. I think I just needed another name for this side of me. I think if I began incorporating Jaymee more into my every day life I might just stop using the name.
Isabella. I just love the way it sounds is all. I really have no other reason. I did intentionally avoid common names, or names of female friends I have, because I wanted to be my own person without any hint of influence. I did not want to bias my own appearance in the least bit. I am me, and no one of my friends have my name, thus I am original. Yay. :) +1 for me. lol.
I never really had a female name.... back when the internet was young, there were chat rooms on Yahoo, and I found one that I liked a lot, it was a pantyhose chat room and everyone was really nice there , we would chat and watch the little 2 or 3 inch cam shows........ and since I liked pantyhose so much I would spell stuff with ph for the F sound.... and I came up with several names but they were more like screen names than real names.... shimmery phantasy, shimmery phascination , shimmery phreak , shimmery phetish, shimmery phixation..... I met a couple of girls for real from that chat room and they just called me Shimm ( kinda fits , its like she and him mixed ) when we were together lol .... since I am in a very small town and cant really have a female persona I never gave myself a real female name...... there is another CD forum that I tried to join the other day and they wouldn't let me join unless I had a female name.... they wouldn't accept Shimmery..... LOL
I started without one, when in the closet it's not like it's really useful, but then I started getting more active on social media sites so I had to come up with one, at the time it seemed almost natural that I pick Joanna, I always liked the name, I think it is beautiful, not ****ty, it's more sweet and very feminine, I guess it's a matter of personal perspective on names and what impression they carry in one's opinion. But there are so many beautiful names, I've even thought of changing mine but I think it'd be too easy, I will stick with it for the rest of my life because I feel it's my name now. But I also really like, Rachel (my middle name), Hannah, Christina, Heather, Kate, Justine... if that helps anyone that's looking to get one right now...
I choose Christina since i just love the name. And people can call me Chrissy for short.
Just liked the sound of the name, makes me feel femme.
I chose Alexis because that was the name of the first girl I ever had a crush on, plus to me it's my favorite feminine name.
Like some other I've change alot! I went from Alexis to Corrie to Stacey to Miranda to Shana and now back to Alexis.
Figured I should post it here.
I never thought I would pick a girl name, but now that I'm doing more with CDing, my GF and I thought that we should have one. We settled on Nicole. It's a name that she came up with, and I really liked it.
I also have a cousin named Nicole. So I hope she never finds out, heh heh.
I chose Rachel because of Jennifer Aniston's character on Friends. So cute and loved her outfits.
I chose Rochelle cause i just love the sound of it.
Abby is actually my nickname in male mode. I am an electrical engineer who does weird stuff in my work. The origin of the nickname is the scene in the Mel Brooks movie, "Young Frankenstein" where Marty Feldman finds a brain for the monster. The brain is from someone described as "Abby Normal". My wife and daughter saw that scene and immediately the nickname stuck.
I also go by a middle name, Molly. I am an amateur historian. Back around the 1920s, the cops in New York and elsewhere called crossdressers "Mollies". To remember our ancestors, I adopted that middle name.
Ive also had many names thru the years . When I was young 12 or so My mom caught me dressed and said well I guess ill have to start calling you Laura (boy name Larry) It stcuck but there were sooo many Laura s.. so I chose Lauren after Lauren Bacall I idolized her look. I went with that for awhile then I met a Victoria and I luved her, so I chose it but soon went back to Lauren then in a panic One day when asked while I was in drag by a Cop I blurted Out Laurel-Anne,why?? I don't know so.. it stuck.. and he passed me by and now Its ME LOL :heehee:
I used to play online video games and would always make female characters. They're just more fun to look at. My most played character was named Whisper and I had already injected a fair amount of my personality into her. When it came time to pick a name, she really was my first and only choice.
Since reading and commenting on this post yesterday I have been racking my brain to find the right name for me. I think I found it for now. Victoria, it is my birth place and from one of the funniest movies I have seen starring Julie Andrews (Victor Victoria).
My real name is Jessie but I get called Jess for short, my name was given to me by my mum as she desperately wanted a girl and as she had all boys and me being the last out and a boy I got the girls name.
Jessica would of been my name had I of been a girly, though Jessie is also used on boys as well, lol worked out quite well as it fits in so well with my crossdressing ways and as mum says i'm the girl she never had.
hi i choose Paige as i thought it was such a lovely name xxx
hugs love and kisses Paige
Our neighbor's had a daughter (yes, she was of age,,,20) that was just beautiful. I adopted Tiffy from her name Tiffany and added the Jo.
This is a fun thread to read. Well my story...
I started out nameless and had a girlfriend in college give me the name Desiree. This stuck while we were together but I never really liked it as it just didn't feel right. I went a while with my boy name, which is unisex, Shawn, and was comfortable with it, but didn't feel too girly. Then one day, a different girlfriend started calling me Charlene. This one stuck as it is un-mistakingly female, doesn't resemble my boy name, and I don't personally know any other Charlene's who are close friends. I like the initials it makes also, which could be a nickname -- C.C.
-Charlene
Tash, tasha or Natasha. My wife gave me the name. I guess it fits cause I still haven't found one I like
My name when dressed is Heidi Stevens. I arrived at my femme name by flipping my given and sir names and making adjustments. Heidi is close to my sir name and my first name is Steve, thus Stevens. I thought Stephanie was too trite.
I choose Gail as its close to my given name and Miles is my middle name.. it is new to me I hadn't thought of having a female name before joining this forum.. before I was just me
Janel. Saw the name years ago and always liked it.
I chose the name Anne. Simple, feminine and very lady-like. Plus I always liked most of the ladies I know who are named Anne.
The first time I got totally dressed and made up, I thought of a sophisticated lady - Renee came to mind first. Elise was a possibility if I was born a girl...
My female name was given to me by my wife and we both thought it stuck, Scarlett sounds just as natural to me as my given name, and i love it!
I used to subscribe to Elle Magazine, a popular French Fashion Magazine sort of like "Runway". So I took that name "Elle", if my gender were female, Eloise would be my choice, but been using Elle for the past 35 years, yup I'm a "granny".
A more feminine version of my given name. Not too exciting or original I know, but I like it.
Hi all, I'm LeeAnne, a take-off of my middle name Lee. No special meaning, I just liked it. :)
MY name is Janet. Loved the name and I saw something interesting about it, 3 of the letters are the same as my male name
My name is very special to me. It was give to me by the most amazing woman I could ever dream to share my life with. I came out to her last fall and it is a bumpy road. We are making it through. I love her so much. Anyway, she came up with Andi as a play off my middle name so it is still part of me, it is casual and playful. And the 1979 part of my user name is the most wonderful year. It is the year we met and I fell in love with her. So Andi1979 was born.
Tightsplease1986 shall now be known as Gracie thanks to the acquisition of a wig :)
^.^
I picked up Amy from a person I respected.
I then went a bit further, and chose May as my
middle name, in part because it's a re-arrangement
of Amy, and it is the month I was born in. I also
close my last name Jackson.
Amy M. Jackson
I was a fan of an E! Correspondent Jules Asner and I decided on a similar name
I think I have finally come up with a name: "Charlotte Allison Morris" (full name there). I was looking on baby name sites and found one that stated that "Charlotte" was one of the most popular first names for girls on the site. My birth name is Wayne Allen Morris. What do you think of it?
I like to call myself Tannis. Actually been a lot of interesting developments lately... just recently my wife found out I like to crossdress. She accepts it, and is slowly helping me dive deeper into this.
Feels weird man... very unsteady. Been keeping this a secret for SO ridiculously long, my mind's still not sure what to do with the fact that someone *knows*.
Just recently was my first time wearing makeup of any sort in public.
My chosen name is Diana, because I thought Princess Di was so beautiful and dressed so well. I changed my name for a short while to Susan after my mom died. She never knew about my crossdressing , but she told me that before I was born that they thought I was going to be a girl (little did they know) and they where going to name me Susan. So I changed it, but I always felt Diana fit and I changed it back. Unfortunately this site doesn't allow you to change your name and so it remains Susan here but in my heart it's Diana.
My femm name is "Abby Paige Little"
My real name is Marco. I chose the name Tatiana because I like the nickname Tati.
