First thoughts about preliminary results
I was surprised by the first results.
They show for instance that the first born is slightly more often a CDer than the last born, whether the family is of 2 childs only or of more than 2.
The differences, although slight, are statistically significant.
Another rather unexpected finding is that the CDers are more rarely than expected (from what we know about the usual distribution of families according to the number of the childs) in families of only 2 childs ; and more commonly than expected in families of more than 2 childs. (Believe it, this was not an easy inference, but there is the result of the calculation ! And it is statistically significant).
These findings - if confirmed by the poll in progress - are interesting in as much they show that CDing may depend on some environmental factors (such as the number of childs in the family) and not only oninherited factors as well.
Moreover I was amazed because - before the poll - I was hypothetizing that the last born had more chances to be a CDer than the first born - using Adler theories about birth order, so that I'm puzzled.
Very interesting indeed !
Thanks and Kisses to all respondants so far !
