Your Female Name

WEll I chose the name Veronica because not only do I like that name, it is the female version of my given name. :battingeyelashes:

I like 'Lisa' because I had a crush on a Lisa as a teen but I'm 'Robin' because that's my real name! Glad my parents didn't name me Harry or something! ;)

I spent a long time thinking about this one and to be honest it has changed a few times, I settled on the female version of my name which is Michelle, which is the one I thought of first anyway! I like it

I was a very shy and somewhat sensitive kid and if I shied away from something like diving into the pool or not wanting to make a tackle in rugby or say something soppy my Dad would call me a big Lilly, all in good humor and always with a smile or a hug. So it makes sense to me :)

I borrowed mine from a friend I had years ago when I was in the army. She was kind to me and knew nothing of my "hobby" as it was widely accepted at the time.

The name that I first started off with was DEE. I kept it for around a year or so and then decided that it wasn`t me.
So I changed it to Julie after a GG who used to deliver 3 piece suits to where I worked. She and I were about the same in height and build, so I thought that name is for me. She never new that she was my role model. I would love to be able to see her again over a coffee and tell her how I took her name.

Evelyn was the name of a girl I knew in school. We were not close friends, but were polite to each other and had brief conversations here and there. She dressed how I wanted to dress, simple but stylish, and was kind to others in a way that I tried to emulate. I don't recall knowing any other Evelyn's, and this name stuck with me.

Christy was the name of a girl I knew in high school that was absolutely gorgeous. She and I became friends but never really clicked any other way. She told me one day that she thought feminine guys were super hot and I always tried to work up the courage to tell her my secret. Sadly enough she moved away before I got the courage to tell her. So I picked her name.

Being free to choose your own name is one of the great freedoms that trans folks have that cis folks do not. I used to call myself Allison years ago, after the Elvis Costello song. Later I used Linda after the Jan and Dean song. My first time in a group was a t-girl party. I announced myself as Linda and saw a girls head fall in discouragement. She was Linda! and thought there were no others in the whole world. I thought quick and announced that I was also known by my middle name Allison. That restored order, and a number of people in that room became good friends. They call me Ally, and once a name sticks it tends to stick, but I sometimes correct them. Belinda Allison if you please.

Dana is close to my male name and the Nicole just seemed to roll off the tongue. Kept trying to come up with something else and nothing else seemed to feel right.

My name doesn't really have a good female equivalent, and even if it did, that probably wouldn't have been my choice. I knew I liked Michelle and Melissa, so I looked up a list of M names and came across Melanie. I really liked it it so that's what I went with. I notice it's not an uncommon choice around here. It's not set in stone, though.

My name is Julie, there was an advert in the UK where Julie was a fusspot about her coffee and i am a fusspot over my coffee and my lovely wife called me Julie and still does when, shopping and or talking about her / me

i've always liked the name Victoria and Anne just seamed to naturally go with it. Wyman? Why not, man!

I chose Suzanne thinking I could go by Sue, Suzy or Suzanne. My middle initial W is the first letter of my guy last name and Jeffries is derived from my guy first name. Like a lot of gurls (and girls too I guess) I wish at times I had chosen a different name but I have been Suzanne for about 12 or 13 years so I guess that's it.

Over 50 years ago (!!) I chose Tina Long. Tina because it was an aberration of my surname and Long because I was tall:doh:
A couple of years' ago, when I started to try and go out more, dressed, I changed it to reflect my own first/middle initials and started to use my own surname. That enabled me to get an extra credit card and other loyalty cards (like Nectar) to put in my purse using 'Ms' as the title. That way, it's almost the truth so authorities won't get too bent-out-of-shape about it. So here I am, Christina (a name I often wished I was called) Alice (a girl I really liked at Junior school).:daydreaming:

All of the letters are 1 off from my "guy" name. I love my new name and has been my favorite thing to do, so far.

I chose Izzy short for Isabella just always loved the name :)

I chose Sally because it is such a nice name. SillySally just describes how I am.

Two reasons for Michelle...one after my middle name, Michael, which I used to have trouble spelling as a kid - got the a and e wrong way round and my mother would correct me telling the way I spelt it was a girl's name, so Michelle seemed an obvious choice. And secondly there was a lovely lady I used to know on a different site and she, Michelle, was the first person I had something close to internet sex with - we had a shower together and very exciting it was; so my name honours that lovely young lady. My counsellor felt sure it was a Beatles connection but I had to assure it was nothing of the kind - although that is a great song...

Lucia is a name I have liked from when I was in High School. Ramos is a kinda combination of my two last names.

Stephanie is the name of a girl i used to like in school.

Hi all. Just and FYI I'm changing my name from Brittany to Jordan. One of those things where I was never in love with the name. It was a quick grab while on a chat in my early years. My GF really didn't like it for it. She chose Jordan and I have to say I kind of like it, seems a bit more fitting. And my thought is that I didn't get to choose my male name, why should I be the one to choose my female name. :)

I chose Rachel because she was the first girlfriend I had in highschool. And she was extremely pretty. Im not totally set on the name - I need to try it on and see how I like it.

I chose Rachael, and I can't explain why, it just seemed right when I had to pick a name. And the spelling seemed right, too, with the extra 'a'. I've never had a Rachael as a girlfriend, don't even think I have known a Rachael--certainly not well. The middle name I'm not too sure of. I was going to go with Emily, but sometimes lean toward Christine...it's all intuitive.

I chose the name Karyn with a middle name of Marie. Both are close to my real name, well, at least the first two initials are...giggle. I spelled Karyn with a y instead of an e because I like the spelling and it seemed more feminine to me.

There is a song by Butch Walker that I love called Pretty Pretty/ Beth Amphetamine. I took that and morphed it into Crystal Beth

I choose mine quite simply as an Elvis fan i decided to use the name of his daughter, i liked the way it sounded and it was the best idea i had at the time.

I use Erica for my female name just added a letter to the end of my my old nasty not appealing non fem male name suits this gurl way better :)

My female name was actually inspired by a Gil Elvgren pin up of a redhead in black lingerie on one of those old fashioned exercise machines that does nothing but shake your body from side to side. It's the mischievous circumstances, and look on her face, I chose that as my persona, and she just seemed to be a Charlotte to me. The last name is just a nod to my female side being something of a french descent and Petit (pronouced just as it's spelled, Pe-tit) just jumped in there and worked for me.

So there you have it, Charlotte Petit was born and has been a very important part of my life for the past 8 years.

"Mia" is a shortened version of "Milla", the actress' name of the character from Resident Evil...'cause that bitch be smokin'!! She's an excellent female heroine. 'Brankovic' is the most common Macedonian last name (nope: I'm Canadian raised, British borne & Irish heritage) and is in honour of Alexander...The Great, and is somewhat similar sounding to the previous mentioned actress' last name.

My fem name comes from the first girl that I experienced intimacy. And not just physical, but a real close friendship with another human being. "K" comes from my masculine name. I like to say "Kristine....with a "K"!

Man, my story's boring! My dad told me my whole name had I been born a girl. "Megan Olivia Soules".

Ruins the creativity, but I go by the middle name Olivia.

My name comes from a person that I do not know. I just liked her name.

I got mine from when I told my wife. We wanted something with the same first letter, so I just started naming whatevee came to my mind off, and she picked Justice. That's how I got my name

I wanted to use an M as in my birth name, and Meredith just sounded like me. A woman at our Pilates studio is Meredith, but just a coincidence.

I've never really given myself a full name, but instead just go by J.

Perhaps that will change, at some point. If it does, I'll be sure to share it!!

I had hardly even considered a name until confronted by the username field on this site. Thought about it a bit then out came Alicia. It just sounded and felt right so that's what it is!

I thought about all the female friends my daughters had and which one was the most likeable as a person and out came Helen plus the opportunity to have the play on words with the Highwater was too good to miss.

I am a bit country and have a bit south western tone to my speaking so Dixie just leapt out at me.

I just always liked the name Vicki and the O'Shea part just rolled off my tongue one day out-of-the-blue. It stuck as a tribute to my celtic roots. :)

Cindi... Just short for Cinderella.. Hoping that my life will have a story book ending.

Joan Meredith, comes from the first leaders of my first and middle name. I settled on Meredith a long time ago, but only came up/out with Joan. I had to think a lot about it.

I go by the name Amber because of another Amber I greatly admired many years ago. I always wanted to be like her and now at least in name, I am!

My IGN (in-game name) had Iris in it since circa 2012, and the name stuck among those who know me in person. This originated from the namesake Goo Goo Dolls song (the chorus is dead-on in hindsight). My real name is technically gender-neutral, however it isn't common as a female name.
