Shelly is a play on my given name and i also had a big crush a girl named shelly:)
Thats kind of cute. Shelly is a wonderful name.
I chose Terri for a few reasons... It's the way my mother would have spelled had I been born a girl.
My very loving and supportive wife thought that it fit my feminine personality very well. And neither of us would have to learn a whole new name ...just a new lifestyle. I am still new to fully opening up to others about my CDing and I have soooooo many questions.
Thank you all for being here for us newbies.
SylphDevine is my online gaming name when I play as a female.
Just call me Sylph.
I chose Sandy (online Sandy 777 ) I chose the first name of my first GF in grade school. She was sweet, a little bit of a Tom Boy and similar to me now as a CD. Good memories with her young and exploring everything.
My youngest daughters mother questioned me about my dressing. To my surprise she said she felt that some of her things were moved, even though ever so slightly. She asked are you wearing my clothes when I'm at work. I admitted that I had occasionally done it. She said it was ok with her! She just wanted to see. She then went through her things and gathered a fair amount of clothes for me. Everything I could have wanted. Bras, panties, dresses, skirts, shorts, pants, tops, etc. She bought me my first pair of heels and was first to put false nails on me. She would do my makeup. I already had long hair. She would style it. She named me Amber, because my hair was a strawberry blond color. Yes natural. She would call me her beautiful Amber. We separated when my daughter was 3, for non cd reasons. I liked they name and kept it. Thanks for letting me share.
My Wife chose my name "Jackson" When I told her, I was a crossdresser she asked if I had a name. I did not at the time so she said "Jackson" Ill take it
My favourite was Michelle so Michelle i became
I wanted to name our daughter Samantha and call her Sami for short. My wife vetoed it, so I adopted the name.
I'm leaning towards either Samantha because I love the word play or to Priscilla because I was friends with a girl by that name when I was much younger.
A good GG friend is Mark?ta and I also like the name in general, so I'm using it. Even though due to technical reasons on this forum I'm Marketa, without those fancy schmancy thingies above some of our letters.
If I had been born a girl, I would have been named Heather Marie.
I’ve always disliked my male name, so I wanted a femme name that was as different from my male name as possible. Cynthia is nothing like my male name. I considered calling myself Susan, but there were already some Susans on the board, so I chose something different. Sort of.
It is a long story but the short version is that I had tried on several names early on and nothing seemed to fit or feel natural. Years ago I was sort of outed by a man, Jim, who was older than me. He didn't judge and actually made me feel safe and secure. He supported and encouraged my dressing, even arranging salon settings and waxings and pedicure and manicures through his friends. He would have me to his house dressed and we would have dinner and wine and chat. One night he proposed we go out to a club that hosted female impersonator shoes, me dressed to the nines. I felt so special and beautiful and free. From there we went to a nearby club where he asked me to dance. Again, cloud nine. This whole time, he had called me by my male name, Terry. But at one point he was walking me back from the dance floor, holding my hand, when another gentleman stopped him, obviously a friend. He asked who this "beautiful creature" was. Jim, without hesitation, said this is Kimberly, isn't she beautiful! And so Kim I became.
I choose what was closest to my male name. So I am Roberta Joan.
I just joined this forum, and this is my first post.
I officially LOVE this thread. Welcome Roberta Joan. Now go make an introduction.
my male name is chris but i chose my name from a girl i dated in high we started dating and a week lter her parents told her they were moving acroos the country two weeks later she was gone her mame was krissie
Until recently I never really thought much about it. When I decided it was something that was missing, I struggled. Every time a name popped up it reminded of a person I already knew. Eventually settled on Sophia because if felt soft, welcoming and femm. Qualities I enjoy in others and aspire to. It also doesn't hurt to be reminded of how gorgeous Sophia Loren was...
My wife gave me my name, we went through the alphabet thinking of names for each letter until it was decided Penny.
I toyed with several names. I initially wanted something a bit naughty, a bit sexy. Names like Candy came to mind (not being disparaging to those who are called Candy which is a perfectly nice name). In the end I went with a variation of my own name, for fear someone would be shouting Candy at me across the room and I would not realise they were talking to me, lol. So it ended up being Davyna.
It is just as good as "Candy" I went on a slant of my male name. through the years, many people did not know how to pronounce my name due to a silent 'S' in the middle. So I picked one frequently used on me.
My name is Thea and I love it
My name i choose was Thomasina which is a play off of real name . i can use Tommy on both sides of the aisle . Keeps it simple and easy to cover if ever needed
I adopted my name from Smallville character (let's not dwell on the actress's issues), Chloe Sullivan. I always like the name Chloe and there is something from a childhood book that I read which had a girl named Chloe from the UK. I don't remember the book and at times I think it was just a kid's imagination. I also liked the name because I never knew anyone in my life who had the name. So, I could adopt it as uniquely me.
Nice Name choice.
