Valerie was the name of my first crush in 6th grade. While living in the San Francisco area in the 90's, I adopted the last name Vanesse because of VanEss street and I liked the alliteration of Valerie Vanesse
Well, I chose my name (which isn't shown as my name here) as Heather Nicole Blake. I chose Heather because I have always found it to be a beautiful name and Nicole, because I have a transsexual friend that I came out to who was very supportive and chose that as her first name and Blake to stay with my Celtic heritage.
My name as a guy is brian and my girl name is Brianna the one i prefer. I even sign every thing as Brianna some people look at me strange but i kinda like that.

Hello Everyone. I chose the various parts of my name for different reasons. I chose Rebecca because in college I lived with a girl that had the most amazing legs and always had on great footwear. Bracer is because I also enjoy wearing leg braces when I'm dressed. No real explanation for that, just something I like.

When she first was encouraged to dress and express herself, Julie was the first choice. That was in the mid '80s.
Julie never blossomed until 2002 when she first went out, then the choice was Miss Rose. (Natasha called me Missy, she calls all her girls Missy.)
It became Rose over the past five years, until just recently.

Is it weird that I just use my regular name? Shannon. It goes both ways! And everyone already knows me by that name. So they just have to get use to my appearance only and not a name change!
My female name is my female name, Jennifer. My screen name/handle Jennabug is an old family nick name. My mother's dad called me Jenna and my dad's dad called me Ladybug and someone when I was too young to remember combined the two into Jennabug.
Like all other transgendered people I have a name for my female self – Karen. During my teen years I referred to myself as Julie. But from my mid 20’s I have been Karen. I named myself after a beautiful girl I fell in love with at college. She was young and sweet and beautiful and I do believe that was the closest I have ever been to being in love. We dated for nearly two years and she showed me tenderness and physical love that I still embrace today. Unfortunately I could see the writing on the wall. Where could this relationship ever go but down the toilet when she found out about me. How much pain did I want to give this young beautiful girl who was about to embark on her life’s journey. So being me, I took the option of pushing her away. I never told her that I loved her even though I desperately wanted to and I knew she desperately wanted to hear it. I dismissed it in a macho bullshit way but inside I was dying of shame and guilt. I pushed her away when she wanted to discuss the future- what future could I offer her? She didn’t really want much out of life, just a good husband and father when it was all said and done. Ultimately I pushed her away physically and emotionally until she could take no more and would break it off with me. I felt that giving her the power to break up would make it somehow less painful for her. Looking back I was cruel and thoughtless and was also demeaning to myself. She was engaged 9 months after we split up and has since gone on to live her life. I often wonder if she ever thinks of me, I know that I do of her constantly. So the end result of it was that I took her name in memory. Pathetic really but that is the truth of it.
When I was Growing up at home my older brother would tease me and call me "Marsha" instaed of "Mark".
I liked the name... so I kept it.
Then when I was older and serving as the President of the Erie Sisters TG Group, a member asked if I was ever going to add a last name.
So, I ran a contest for the group to help me to pick a last name.
I wrote a short Bio about myself, my likes, dislikes and hobbies.
My main hobby is that I collect "Superman Memorabilia" and one of the member of the Group came up with the last name "Clark" for "Clark Kent".
I liked that name and I awarded a set of Avon Make up brushes to the Winner that suggested the name.That's how my name "Marsha Clark" originated.
By the way..
there are some that think I chose the name after the District Prosectuter "Marcia Clark" from the O.J. Simpson trial.
Although she was a "Little Hottie" I do set the record straight on this Question.

After revealing my inner feminine side to my wife, I asked her to come up with my girly name. She said "tiffany" because that's what she wanted her name to be when she was young. It sounded like a sweet name to me so I agreed. The fisher comes from the fact that I like to fish and I wanted to throw something in the name that was innocently masculine.

My parents had 2 names picked out for me, one if I was a boy, and another if I was a girl. Alison was the girl name, so I decided to use it. Figured my parents knew best. ;)

I wish I had a clear idea why I picked what I did, but in reality, I was signing up here after viewing as a guest, needed a name, and it just popped into my head. And it seemed right. And thus it was.
