Courtney sound's a lot like my real first name (Cody) and Glenn is my actual middle name.
I picked a name that didn't belong to any gg that I knew- wanted to be original, but one that was somewhat similar to my given name
Kimberly, I don't know if I've responded to this OP or not, yet, it is over 77, pages long? But to your point, I am getting a new name from my SO: Lola. Because, "Whatever Lola wants, et cetera, et cetera." If it's good enough for her to accept me as I develop in this "crazy" world of CDing, then Lola it may have to be; simply because she does not know me as “M.”, but only 24/7 as shown in the pic I just posted (please see "Ya'll are Crazy" Thread in URL below)?

Sveta is a short form of Svetlana, a Russian name that I have always thought was beautiful.
Miranda was a nickname my university housemates used to call me (it's a play on my surname) in that way men often use female names as an insult with their friends, so just seemed apt to reclaim it from its intended derogatory usage and utilise it for something positive:)
My only worry is people thinking I took it from Sex & the City!
I havent got one yet. Still waiting for something to grab my attention.
I did not know that there was a moon with that name. Just googled it and it's named after a character in The Tempest apparantly, which is nicely apt as both me & Shakespeare are from the West Midlands:straightface:
Thanks for the info Sveta, that's really nice to know and be fun to think of next time I'm gazing at the night sky.
My choice was easy. My name started with K and the sweetest, sexiest GG I know is named Kayla..
Hi I didnt pick my name it was given to me by a girl I know :)
My mother always wanted a girl and told me if I was born a girl she would have named me Richelle. So here I am!!
Mandy was given to me in my teens when a past SO asked me to go out with her wearing her skirt/sweater/panties/sandals for fun. She was set back a little when I didn't object to it. I told her why and she was accepting to the point where she bought me a few things of my own. We were great for a few years but parted ways for other reasons. I was terrified that she would out me to friends, but never did. The name stuck as a sort of tribute that there are still great people in the world.
Kristin- fourth of a series- Jennifer (first because "jen" it was similar to my name). Lots of first names begin with J and end with an "N" sound- Jan, Jane, Jen, Jean, Jin (Gin-Ginny-Virginia), John, Joan, June...
Elaine (didn't take)
I forget the other one.
But I finally made a list of names that i liked, and slowly pared them down over time- in various situations. At parties when chemically altered, i'd go over the list in my mind and think of which ones seemed to "fit". Same thing when stone sober, at work, while flying at night, hiking in the badlands, up to my elbows in parts for the medical equipment i was working on, right before surgery for the hernia i gave myself while working on heavy medical equipment (OR tables weigh 750-850 lbs). I liked Kristin because it was phonetically similar to "Christ", and while i am not what you would call a devout christian, I do have a deep spirituality and admiration for the values attributed to Christ. Also- It is a great flexible name_ Kristina, Kristin, Kristi, Kris, and a few others.
Finally, i liked the "K", my wife's names starts with a "K" rather than a "C", I dated a girl with my wife's name that began with a "C", way before i met my wife. I remember thinking how I wished "C"'s name started with a "K", it just seems more apropos or correct. I do not believe in ESP or premonition, but it is a lot of fun to remember. (Actually, I hope i am wrong about ESP and premonition, i'm a scientist, so from what I know, all ESP stuff is explainable in simple terms, but I would not be sad if i were proven wrong, that there really is a fifth force or a supernatural realm. Until it is proved, I'm happy with what we know, even if it is a bit anti-climactic)
The middle name, "Stephanie" was one of the finalists in the list, and was actually what my next older sibling would have been called (Steven) if he had not been stillborn. Somehow, I feel as if i inherited a bit of his existence, and it is a nod to him, and Mom's loss, that "Stephanie" is my middle. This was 20 years ago. No change since! My wife helped a little, though she still sees my CD as more of a 'hobby' or 'fetish', but she helps me keep things in perspective... she's really a hell of a lot smarter than she seems. I picked my female last name as a derivative of her maiden name, no question about it there. Plus, I love last names that have been used as first names. the Juxtaposition is awesome.
So my name is a child of logic, emotion, and marriage. Suits me, suits my wife. I've got closure, I've got approval....who could ask for anything more?
:-)
- Kristin Stephanie Marcella
My wife gave me this one and it has stuck. My original name was judith but this one suits me better.
Krististeph, I actually really like the name Stephanie as well, and it was one of the runner-ups for my CD name. Actually it did make it in a way, because my CD last name is Stepanova. Stepan is the Russian version of Steven.
I confess - I don't have a femme name. (Actually, my real name becomes feminine by adding an 'e' on the end and a lot of people I correspond with in business add the 'e' by mistake.) I think the real reason is that I don't feel like 'me dressed up' is a different person. I suppose I'm saying I want to look like a woman but I don't want to pretend to be one. Maybe I'm wrong. I should ask the great giver of reality checks (my wife).
I liked Kelly because it's a pretty name, but it is also androgynous, in case I slip up. My middle name is Leigh/Lee, which is also pretty safe when calling for packages, etc.
norma is the gurl in norman
Birthe is a name (in Europe and elswhere I guess) that sounds really fem to me.
I just like that name.
The alternative would have been Martina, my mother would have named me that if I would have been born female:battingeyelashes:.
There is some Swedish in my family, so I chose a Swedish name that I felt suited me the most.
More often than not while dreaming I am a girl named Rebecca. Ive had these dreams since i was pretty young, so the name feels a part of me now. I chose the second part of my name Skye, because I always thought it was pretty not just spoken but written as well. :)
I got my name just like the thread starter. My mom was sure she was having a girl and named me Jennifer Lynn surprise I was GM. She has no idea I hung onto the name.
I may never look like a million bucks. But I have spent a lot of coin on my alter ego.
Most of her time out in the world is on long weekends when she can be herself for a few full 24/7 days.Wish she had enough nickels or millions to stay 24/7.Being in need of better lower body enhancers, she is in "CD remission".Honestly, she's such a matchy-matchy bitch sometimes. But we all like what we like, don't we?
She likes what she calls "Professional Panache" or "Casual Cachet" and thus, a jillion nickels (or too many dollars)have gone into her oversized closet.
Now she needs to get out of there herself.
Anyone have experience with good hip and tush padding that looks good and is relatively easy to wear(I love the comfort of girl clothes)?
P.S.I could have saved $$$ had I found all you wonderful ladies sooner. When I learn to,I'll post pix.But need to find a faster compact camera, preferrably a fuchsia or pink one first.
Courtney just sounded sexy to me and Kay is the first letter of my last name spelled out
Kylie is just a name that I've always thought was really great. The "Q" really doesn't mean anything, I just thought KylieQ sounded a bit like Curlicue, which was kind of cute. I did choose the middle name Amanda because it's what I would have been named if I had actually been born female.
