Wow.... two responses from online dating service in two days

I got a new account on one of those on-line dating services a couple of days ago and posted following profile:

I am a 38 years old hispanic heterosexual crossdresser looking for a woman that enjoys femininity.
I am tall (6' 2'' ) so I do not pass in public but I love makeup, high heels and shopping (of course!).....lol

I also like doing 'normal' stuff like watching movies, playing and watching sports, dancing, etc.

I consider myself a good person, honest and hard worker.
However, I have not had much luck finding a woman that fully values me as a human being. Every time I disclose my crossdressing interests the whole thing goes downhill faster that I can spell crossdressing......eclipsing everything else I am and everthing else I have to offer.

I do not want to become a woman. It took me a long time to become comfortable in my skin and I am not ashamed of who I am.
I hope I can find a woman interested in friendship and let it grow from there.

My female friend acceptance level has gone up as they've gotten older and more worldly. During college only my theater friends were accepting, but as we've all gotten older, I've also gotten less cries of objection. My gay friends have been the most supportive, and having a wife that helps me shop for lingerie has been a dream come true.

There are many GGs who are at least 6' 2''. I'm 6' 3'' and pass quite frequently. Tall is beautiful no matter your gender.

I posted an add on craigslist a while back seeking GG friends to help show me how to be more feminine and how to really do mu makeup and such, and I actually found a couple of new great friends that are very accepting by doing so. I say good for you Bulova.

Nicely put! Refreshing and HONEST! A lot of women claim they are turned off because of non-disclosure at The Get-Go, and that's what bums them out. We shall see if that's true. i had one really sweet lady get in touch from OKCupid (some distance away, sadly), but generally i feel i'm becoming even more invisible (hmm, maybe i am!). would you mind sharing which sites you listed on? of course, i understand completely if you're not comfortable with that, but it would be nice to try and branch out.

Sorry but that's somewhat spiteful, don't you think?

If bulova had posted his pic in guy mode and had had no responses, would you then have said it was because he is less attractive than the other men on the site and women think he is ugly?

I have been thinking about doing the exact same thing have had a profile on a site before but only told members about being a cd after chatting for 2 weeks do the same thing after meeting a lady I always tell her on the third date before things move to for along this way no one really gets hurt. I will probably make a profile in the next week.Would like to know if this works out for you. Keep us informed

What site have you been using? I would definitely consider doing this. I have never met a gg that is into guys cd'ing.

Bulova, I am sure you can find a woman that accepts crossdressing; I have found them. And by your honesty and candidness, you have opened the door to some great GG friendships even if you don't find a permanent relationship right away. I have also found some great friends on this site. This is a great place to find friends who really care.

I once had a relationship with a GG who was quite accepting of my CDing. She would even go out with me in public when I was fully dressed> When we went out we were then just a couple of girlfriends having a great time together. I have since moved on to a different relationship with a woman who is less accepting but I like to think back on my fun adventures with my accepting lady friend. She would even go out shopping with me and bought me a couple underthings. Remarkably, she wore the exact same bra size as me and so when we parted as friends I gave her a few of my bras...she is still a good friend.

I've always thought about doing an online dating site thingy. And this thread is just more proof to me that it can be a good idea. Now if only I could convince my parents it's a good idea. Something about them wanting me to meet people in person or something... And also makes me wonder about being that honest. I don't think I could do it though.

And of course, the same question every has been asking; if you're willing to reveal, which site?

Congratulations on your initial success. Now, the question is, have you met any of them and how did it go? I meet GG's all the time while out, unfortunately, always much younger and out of my range so to speak. I have gone out with some of them as a girls night out to see a movie, musical, theatrical or dance performances and to eat and dance. I have met two closer to my age, one when I was en femme at the pre-play reception and we went out once on a date with me in male mode. Unfortunately, we did not click to go further. I am leery of trying he dating sites en femme. I think it will work out a lot better if I can meet a woman while dressed. That way there is no "cat in the bag" to let out. I can dream anyway.

I assume from everything I've read that it's a lot easier to meet fanciers than GGs while dressed?

Rachel: Actually, for the amount of times I go out and the varied places that I go, I actually meet more women than men, even when in very LGBT friendly places where the admirers frequent. Now, when out dressed, I also am more extroverted and have no problem going up to the lady or girl sitting alone at a table of bar waiting for her friend(s) and who is not there to be picked up. Many times they will end up sitting with the group of people with me until their late friend arrives. I sometimes wonder why they are so accepting. Maybe because they think I am less of a threat and bother dressed as a woman and they tend to trust me more than a the man who would come up and talk with them. It really is refreshing for me, previously used to the not interested attitude when trying to meet a woman. It also is a lot of fun and usually makes my evenings out a lot of fun.

Well if for no other reason the gg's must know we understand how painful it can be to keep up feminine attractiveness. Heels, tape shaving, waxing I appreciate women more as a dresser than I did before

I belong to a couple of dating services (I've had no luck with either) and I noticed on one site that there was a profile from a woman who was transgendered, and said so in her description. I'm sure she was looking for a man who was as normal as they come, but was more likely to get freaks and hate mail from those that just want to ridicule. However, I felt for her, and hope that she finds what she's looking for.

Now, perhaps if I listed that I'm a crossdresser in my profiles, I too, might find someone out there....
