I like Kelly's idea of glass blowing, although from experience I would say that, you wouldn't want to wear your finest dresses, never mind the heat, it's a bit mucky.
My dream job would be to work in a classy art dealers studio, especially if they had lots of bronzes and sculptors.
I'd love to be a fashion photographer, or maybe a special effects artist!
The sales manager of women hosiery section of a store. Actually a crossdressing friend (the first local contact) held this exact job at the downtown Hudson Bay Co. store. Unfortunately, the department got majorly reduced and I believe he got moved to another department and/or was laid off just a couple years after I met him. Seeing that the question was for a day, perhaps I would crossdress in full presentation for it otherwise for multiple days underdressed with nylons or not crossdressed at all would be just as awesome of a job to do.
Another one is to be one of those people that do the store window displays with mannequins and etc.

A Hanes Silk Reflections sales representative. I got to know a salesperson in the hosiery department at Macy’s. I know she knew, but was very discreet. She’d let me put my hand in the samples. Once, I told her a color I liked and she said that’s the color she was wearing. Yes, I bought several. After a few visits, I told her how much I like “A Little Color”. I hiked my pant leg to show her. She smiled. Sadly, she was transferred.

I have actually done everything on my "dressed as a woman" bucket list. If I had to pick a fantasy job for the day (not on the bucket list) it would be working in a women's boutique - fully dressed of course. The thing is I could probably do this as I know a boutique owner quite well and she would probably think it was great fun but it is in my local town and I would be worried about someone I knew coming in. I love seeing women smartly dressed and I could make suggestions to make them look even better. One woman friend has already thanked me for telling her the benefits of wearing a slip under her dress.

After that, it's all just a way to out food on the table.
Obligatory CD content: I'd wear panties and bra under the pressure suit (or should we figure out a way to make a "Pressure Dress" :-)

I would love to be a server in a classy restaurant. I have my outfit already picked out. White semi sheer blouse covering a lacy slip and lacy bra which would show both sets of straps. A black skirt with sheer off black hosiery and black heels. Black panties. I do have several full slips which have a lacy white bodice and a black skirt. They're in the vintage category and difficult to find anymore.

I have outgrown it now but once I used to love the look of the 'air hostess' and would imagine myself jetting off to glamorous places around the world doing that role. I would never consider it nowadays but some of those uniforms from the past (anyone seen the 'PAN AM' tv series?) were gorgeous.
Well I have given this a lot of thought and finally decided that whatever my fantasy job would be (even if only for a day) would have to include "independantly wealthy" ............ once I have that in the bag what ever follows is pretty much inmaterial so I choose.................Independantly wealthy........Walmart Store Greeter" A close second was .............Independantly wealthy....... glass blower. (Sorry Kelly just could not resist).

I already have the job. After the bookshop is closed for the day there are many tasks to do behind the scene. I exchange my trousers for a skirt and do them for a few hours. See my pictures in the MIAD sharing thread in the picture gallery. I just wish I were brave enough to do it with customers present. Oh well, maybe one day....

Given the time of year, a lot of times I think it would be entertaining for a group of us to work as Hooters girls for a day.
I'm not saying comedicly like the old Hooters guys commercials. But our best impersonations. Not necessarily masking our masculine voices, but to the casual observer passing as traditional Hooters uniform wearing girls.
If not that I like the idea of being a hosiery model like a friend of mine on Paltalk, "Black Stockings". She used to do that, drive race cars, and show off on camera for the channel.

I recently bought a pair of really comfortable size 10 medium pumps in cream at Macy's in NYC and so wished there was a cd girl to help me without the awkwardness of having to deal with the normal sales staff. So that would be my dream job. To be the sales girl that all cd girls would come to for help and assistance, and just to share.😊

I have thought about this pretty hard and I cannot not say that I can come up with a "dream job".
I don't want to be a sex symbol or sex worker, I don't want to work in retail or as a server, I wound not want to be anyone's secretary or assistant, those jobs sound more like nightmares than dreams to me.

I'd take you as my hostess Diane. I flew to Bristol with Easyjet recently and got a big hairy gay chap and a hostess so wide she could barely fit down the aisle. Getting past her to go for a pee was so dificult I nearly wet myself. Mind you, as a teenager flying to Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific, well those ladies melted my heart for 18 hours straight, still gives me a cold sweat thinking back and it was 36 years ago. Well as a a lad I spent a lot of my time plane watching at Manchester Airport Daisy, though actually the air hostesses (sorry, 'flight attendants'...) were as interesting to me as the aircraft. Someone mentioned 'British Caledonian' somewhere. I flew with them to the US, loved the 'Caledonian Girls' uniforms.!!
