Alice Cooper has a few. "Prettiest Cop on the Block", "Jesse Jane", and "All American Girl" come to mind, and he redid Suzi Quatro's "Your Mama Won't Like Me" without the usual change of gender pronouns etc., even sings that he wears his skirt too short. Of course Alice has always been about shock value lol!
Welcome to our little corner of the universe! I see you are much younger, but you may know some classic rock songs. How about Aerosmith "dude looks like a lady" ?
Of course the obvious ones:
"Lola" by the kinks
"Take a walk on the wild" side by Lou Reed
and while it's not really a crossdressing song, it's close enough: "Man, I feel like a woman" By Shania Twain
From a CD perspective, some songs would take on a new meaning. Like Billy Joel's "She's always a woman to me."
I kind of like ,I'm Going to Wash That Man Outta My Hair . From South Pacfic
On the McCartney album there is a good song. " Looks like a woman". Is in the lyrics.
"He's a woman, she's a man" (by Scorpions) is an enby song.
I'm an ex musician, so I really like music. I really like crossdressing, too! But, the 2 aren't in the same ballpark!
So, it's kind of like asking a golfer what music does he golf to?
Quite a few out there, including:
Green Day - King For A Day - Sugar and spice and everything nice. Wasn't made for only girls. GI Joe in panty hose is making room For the one and only
Counting Crows - American Girls "I'm going through my closets, Trying on her clothes, almost everyday. I could have been anyone you see. I wish it was anyone but me
Garbage - Bleed Like Me Chrissie's all dressed up and acting coy. Painted like a brand new Christmas toy. He's trying to figure out if he's a girl or he's a boy
David Bowie - Rebel Rebel You've got your mother in a whirl. She's not sure if you're a boy or a girl
James - Laid - Dressed me up in women's clothes. Messed around with gender roles. Line my eyes and call me pretty
Suzanne Vega's As girls go.
Sara
What's the Beastie Boys song where he's caught in the bathroom with his sister's pantyhose?
Ressie, that sounds like a line from the Cheech and Chong number in "Earache My Eye"
Billy Joel, 'The Stranger'. While it could be referring to anything that we hide from others, for me, it was all about being a crossdresser, being in the closet, worrying about when someone might discover the truth about me. But the song takes it another step; that everyone has something that they're hiding from the world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5ofVsxTPoc
Thank you girls so much! A lot of good suggestions and all! I appreciate it!
ABBA, mama Mia, Does Your Mother Know?, dancing Queen, Dixies - Going to the Chapel, Andy Kim - Rock me Gently, Right Said Fred - Don't Stop Just Kiss
Shania - Man - I feel like a Woman, Queen - I want to Break Free
Indirectly cross dressing songs if you use your imagination:
White Town - Your Woman
Edwyn Collins - A Girl Like You
Urge Overkill - Girl, You’ll Be A Woman Soon
"Boy Named Sue" - Johnny Cash
Shania Twain, Man I Feel like a Woman, >Orchid**0:daydreaming:0**
Kool and the Gang "Ladies' Night"
I'm listening to it even as I type
Not exactly a cross dressing song, but a lot of fun
Phil Vassar with a country take on things in "Bobbi with an I"
The Beatles "Get Back"
Although it doesn't have anything to do with Crossdressing, I've always found K.D.Lang's "Invincible Summer" a great soundtrack that gets me in a proper frame of mind.
"Why she walked like a woman but talked like a man".
"Lola", by The Kinks.
Very observant, the talking bit has always been hard!
How about Britney Spears "I'm not a girl, not yet a women"
Try Bitty Boppy Betty, by Pink Martini.

Whenever this comes up I always point to Annabelle by Goldfrapp -

I find it absolutely beautiful (especially with the video) but I never hear anyone else’s opinion. I’d love to know what others think.
Lou Reed - Take a walk on the wild side
Couple of my favorites:
Garbage - Cherry Lips
Placebo - Nancy Boy
I agree.
In any event, any song abut CDing most often just reflects the stereotype CD or a drag queen.
I am into many genres of music.. classic rock, classical, jazz etc etc and, many things in between.
However, when dressed, I often like to listen to some good classical.
BTW, I am an ex musician also. Many decades ago I played bass in rock bands
Yes! I like that one.

A few more John Waite - Missing You, absolutely love Jennifer Rush - The Power of Love, Belinda Carlisle - Heaven on Earth, most Olivia Newton John from the 70s, the Tymes - You Little Trustmaker, Reba? Daddy's Hands, Martha & the Vandellas - Dancing in the Street, The Ad libs - The Boy from NYC, Bobby Vinton - Melody of Love etc
Not a CD song, but McCartney made a funny mistake in singing Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da (switching the names) that they decided to leave in the released version:
Happy ever after in the market place
Molly lets the children lend a hand
Desmond stays at home and does his pretty face
And in the evening she's a singer with the band
When I first heard this song, I thought it was done on purpose (i.e. Desmond was a crossdresser!), so along with Sweet Loretta Martin in Get Back, I first started learning that I wasn't the only one. A lot has changed in the past 50 years, but not nearly enough.......
Epic! You're quite talented! 'Let me out...' -- I know the feeling, Johnni. :daydreaming:
Arnold Layne by Pink Floyd. Syd Barrett was rumoured to be a crossdresser.
I still think Polythene Pam is a song about a transvestite. Yet John Lennon said it's about a GG.Quote:
Desmond stays at home and does his pretty face
And in the evening she's a singer with the band
Have you seen Polythene Pam, she's so good looking but she looks like a man
You should see her in drag dressed in her polythene bag...
When the Beatles were young and playing in Hamburg, their friend (Astrid) hung around with transvestites. So Lennon and McCartney got to know quite a bit about the cross dressed world IMO.
Not really.
"You make me feel like a natural woman"
Most Girls (Hailee Steinfeld) is my morning jam.
