Well time to man up

Last week I mentioned to my wife I needed a new wig and she suggested we have a girls day out and I wrote it in a post called "Deal". She asked me last night if I still wanted to go girl shopping and if I changed my mind about our arrangement. I'll give you a quick recap, it was underdressing as usual and I could wear my forms a fem top, fem jewelry and light make-up. She then asked me if I'm up for it or am I going to chicken out. Last night I told her that I'm looking forward to it but now this morning I'm already getting cold feet and nervous and starting to change my mind. I know this isn't very much for others here but for me it's a big step. I will let you know what I decide.
I have a question and it may be a stupid one, when I want to update what happened today, do I add it to this post or do I start a new one. I'm not very good at social media things. Thanks

This post. Again, what are the thoughts about cold feet? Going out to try on wigs would be best. I've tried online and it's mostly miss as something is wrong: feel of wig, color of wig with body color, etc. Try different colors and lengths and see which is best.If worried about others seeing you all, go to a store further away.....

Either way works for your update as far as I am concerned. I watch for lost under your name. Just rehearse what you might do if you run into someone you know - own it and tell them your wife wanted a girl shopping trip with you. She is a great partner.

I?d be nervous too, but with my wife?s blessing and getting away from your area, I would do it. She?ll be there to coach you the whole time. A ideal situation. You?ll kick yourself later if you don?t do it.

Maria - I?ve chickened out many times on plans I?ve made for myself so I totally get your worry - however I?ve never had wife in on the plan so I think you can do it. Honestly I think I would be more comfortable in the scenario by going all the way and include wearing a wig. If it?s a girls shopping day?

Go for it. I had a wig fitting in drab many years ago. Not a problem they have seen it all before.With your wife being your chaperone , it doesn?t get better than that.

Its time. Your wife has offered you a special opportunity. As this wonderful moment approaches, you are expereincing the same butterflies we all feel or have felt. Trust us, if you trust in her and overcome your apprehensions, both your and your wife will have an absolutely time.

Btw, wearing forms, a fem top, fem jewelry and light make-up sounds pretty much fully dressed, particularly as you begin trying on wigs. Embrace it!

You are fortunate to have a very accepting wife who participates and encourages you. I would probably have a little bit of hesitation, too. There were two times I actually shopped for a wig en drab and in-person and it was done under the cover of Halloween.

I dont get it ?, if your going out partly dressed with makeup, you will be noticed, so you might as well get fully dressed and really enjoy it, we have a saying in the uk, "you might as well get hung for a sheep than a lamb" go for it girl.

You know you will regret it if you don't do it. And your wife is on board. Think of it like the first time you bought gas dressed. It's just another step. Go for it!

U can dress as much or as little as u like and go virtually anywhere that way and u won't get flack from anyone!:thumbsup:

I don't dress part way. It's to the 9's or not at all. Sherry doesn't dress to blend! And, I can tell u when I've been out alone I experienced some really rude comments. And, countless fish eye and disapproving glares!:sad:

But, when I go out with female friends no one gives me a second glance. No matter where we go or how outragious I'm dressed!:battingeyelashes:

I am in the market for a new wig also. May I go with you both? Just picking but I do want a new wig. I'm sure you and your wife will come to the correct conclusion.

BTW, I shopped for and bought my first wig alone. I made an appointment so that they would know what to expect, and it went very well. I tried on wigs in the open until another customer came in, and then I asked to move to the private room.

I later talked to someone else who bought a wig their. She told me that the husband of the SA who worked with me was also a crossdresser.

You will regret passing this opportunity up. Don't let her be right. Show her you are not scared.

I like to think of people that you don't know as NPCs (a term from computer gaming, if you don't know); Non-Player Characters. Ok, they're human, sure. But, they don't know you, never will, and have no effect on your life whatsoever. So, even if they thought you were a stark raving lunatic, it wouldn't matter. As others have noted, you'll be with your wife. It will be safe. You will live, and the people who see you crossdressed will have zero effect on you.

Today, I was underdressed with fairly large breast forms in my bra. I was wearing a shirt, sweatshirt, and jacket. Even with those layers though, it was fairly obvious I had a rather noticeable chest, far more so than any man would normally have. I passed by quite a number of people. I interacted with a few, only because of politeness in allowing them to move across my path first, or vice versa. None of these people knew me, and I survived. So will you :)

Thanks to my wife and all of you here for the encouragement that made me get out of a confront zone and take a small step. Yesterday morning i took a shower and I was contemplating what to do, so I decided to start with panties and pantyhose and black padded bra. Slowly I was in underdress situation and then I added the forms and a black vneck fem top with a little lace working around the neck. I applied a thin light coloured foundation and plush and a dark colour eye shadow. I put on small loop earrings, a fem bracelet and necklace, fem watch and ankle bracelet. I was at the door putting on my coat and I looked in the mirror and seen the pantyhose and ankle bracelet exposed and the bottom because I wear tight leg jeans. I asked my wife if she was ok with the set up and if she wasn't embarrassed being with me and she said she was fine but asked me how I felt, if I was nervous of excited. I told her looking in the mirror I'm not a fan of half and half dressing but I'm willing to try. We first went to get the wig which isn't a wig store, it's a store that imports lots of things, jewelry, perfumes and fem clothes. I had no problem there because small store one owner lady that I bought many wigs from. I found a wig and then my wife wanted to continue the girls day out at a popular mall and asked me if I was ok with that, I just decided to go with it after all I was with her. The parking lot was full and I started getting nervous I walked in the mall a little with my coated zipped up but I was getting so hot and I felt the sweat dripping off my forms. I pulled my zipper down and looking in mirrors I could see the shape of the breast with my coat open. I asked my wife if she was ok walking with me like this and she reassured me it was fine. Walking in the mall nobody seemed to notice anything, just doing there own thing, once we entered smaller stores with sale people in closer situations I was feeling a little uncomfortable but I didn't go out of my way to cover up. When we grabbed some food in the food court and sat at one of those bolted down table and chairs I felt my pant leg go up and the ankle bracelet drop down closer the my shoes. My wife automatically seen my discomfort and asked me what was wrong, I told her my pantyhose and ankle bracelet are really showing. My wife told me nobody cares and to take off my jacket because it was hot in there, I laughed and asked her if she was crazy. She grabbed my chin and pulled it so I faced her, she told me to listen to her. I have been waiting for this for so long and all that is important is how she feels and she wants me to look only at her and not around to anyone else that has no importance to me in my life. She asked me again to look only at her and take off my jacket, I took a deep breath and took off my jacket. I didn't take a big look but I looked down enough to see with the padded bra, forms and tight fem top there was some pretty obvious breast on display. She then asked me if I was ok and if I noticed anyone with a pitch fork coming after me or if anyone is looking to start a fire to burn me on a cross. She told me I have to start caring about what I want and not worry about others, if we meet some one in the mall just to blame her that I have a kinky wife.
I did put my coat back on and we walked around for hours in the stores, it was so much fun but I didn't buy anything because it was a higher end mall and everything was very expensive. When we were leaving I thanked my wife so much for her support and pushing me a little out of my comfort zone and I don't know what I could ever do to repay her. She told me not to get her wrong because she has boundaries and how I was dressed she was ok with and that when opportunity like this should happen I should go for it and take advantage because one just doesn't know if it will come again. She asked me if I was ok with the way I was maybe we could plan it again for a different mall with more reasonable priced stores in the future.
She then wanted to know my true feelings, I told her I was uncomfortable at times and at times when I walked by a mirror and seen the fem top and breast very viewable and nobody seemed to care it did give me excitement. She told me I have to care less about others and do what makes me happy. I couldn't thank her enough and I have to thank everyone here for the encouragement and hopefully there will be a next time. I just have to say one thing about my wife, I offered to buy her something and she told me she isn't doing what she does for a reward, she is doing it from her heart and wants to make sure we make efforts for each other so we can both be happy. I was tearing up when she said that and again I just can't thank her enough.
Sorry that it's so long I felt I had to explain it but as it was a small step but for me it was big and again thank you all for the encouragement.

It sounds like you just lived a dream of so many here, try to relax and just enjoy your tremendous good fortune! Whenever I get the chance to thank my wife, I get her a gift card to a store she would like to shop in but might not just go do it, from what I've heard, jewelry is always greatly appreciated!

You just got a big lottery win, good for you and your wife, some here will be asking if she has sister's or friends, she really is a rarity.

You have shared a lot over the years, showing us that your wife in large part is OK with your dressing at home, and with your Friday drives. However, her actually going out with you like this is definitely another level.
It is clear that you were not quite comfortable with this yourself, but as you do it more, confidence will build and you will be able to enjoy the experience a lot more that you did this first time.

That took courage. And to see someone supporting another person like that is also inspiring. Not just because she accepts you but the lengths she went to to gently help you.

I have accepted that I will never get that level of support from my wife. I have carefully cultivated a support group that does not include my wife, but includes both trans and cis girls (or women).

Nice Maria, glad you did it. It is kind of funny that we feel as if there is a neon sign over our heads that says CD Here, but as so many have said before, people are generally too busy with what they are doing to take notice unless you have to interact with them.

By the way, high end malls are great for getting a free squirt of perfume to try out. Add that to your list of things for the next time ; )

Maria first off you have an incredibly amazing wife!!!! You may not have known or realized it when first met her but she is extremely special and one of a kind.
