Dr's visit
Went to my annual Dr's appointment, decided that I would go as I was dressed at the moment and so that meant adding make-up. Cami, bra, forms, shorts, necklace/earrings and Vans. It's 100 degrees here, I've been trying to match what women are wearing. Check-in, all is good. Nurse comes out to grab me for triage, calls my last name, I stand, she double checks her file and then checks/asks my name. I'll take it as a positive. In the room waiting for the Dr, she comes in and we have the same conversation we've had for the past few years. I have some questions, starting with one that my age says I should, then about hair loss prevention. She did the normal check-up things and all went well. Stopped for a blood draw, that was easy enough. Then grabbed a prescription as I was leaving. This medical clinic is very convenient. Everyone was respectful and treated me like I've always been treated. Like nothing was out of the ordinary.
Same happened at the drive-thru on my way back home after.
Your mileage may very, but so far my outings have been pretty good.

Billie, Nice! Sounds like you are in a good place right now!
-
Glad everything went so well for you. More to follow I'm sure.
-
I really don't think people care who anyone is. Just do it if that is what you want.
-
Billie, I'm glad you got to be you.
-
Were u wearing a wig, Billie? If so? That conversation about going bald must have been interesting!?

Good for you Billie. Due to go for my annual checkup soon . Too risky to dress as a lot of my neighbours go to the same drs.
-
Great on taking that on, I'd say that was the high point of the day for sure.

Great outing to go as you are. The fact that it went well at the clinic where it should always go well as well as at a drive thru shows that you are entirely presentable as fitting into the female realm. Congrats.

My last visit to a Dr was for my DOT physical the form had birth sex and another gender spot. I was asked at Check in if I had a preferred name. Which I gave and was called the rest of the visit

I'm so glad your having great experiences and it gives me hope reading this that hopefully one day I could take some bigger steps. Thanks for sharing

When going to the VA, I always wear a bralette. silicone inserts and panties. Also, depending upon the purpose of the visit I may be wearing stockings. I've had 2 of my providers ask if I had a preferred name. I told them both my male name is what I preferred. I also see a private practice physician. While I will wear panties (I don't own any male underwear), I doubt I'll wear stockings or bralette as she is also my wife's physician. I don't care to cause my wife to be uncomfortable with the knowledge her physician knows I CD.
