Purim
Purim is the Jewish holiday that celebrates the Book of Esther in the Bible and is March 5 this year. It also is a holiday of parties, carnival parades, and costumes. This year, thanks to the encouragement of this forum, I will go public for the first time en feminine! My wife and I have three days in a holiday flat in the city of Tel Aviv. I have an appointment for professional makeup, and then a reservation for dinner. Of course I am both nervous and excited and I hope to take pictures and tell all about it. Again, thanks to all you that have helped me accept myself and the joy it brings to my life, plus in my case, an even deeper love and intimacy with my wife! And Happy Purim to all my Jewish sisters!:)

Hag Sameach, Devorah!
Purim is sort of the Jewish/Israeli version of Halloween. Not that the backgrounds of the holidays have anything in common but because both are costume days and as a result can be significant crossdressing holidays.
I think that you and your wife will have a wonderful time and I can't wait to see the pictures!
Hugs,
Persephone.

Hell-o Devorah,
Regardless of the reason for being dressed and out in public, I'm sure you will find it to be an extraordinary experience.
Just a cautionary note... You'll want to do it again !!! And again!!! And again!!!
Have a great time, and please... Post those pics.
Much Love,
Kristyn

Congratulations, Devorah. Purim is probably a great time to do it. I see at least one or two "Queen" Esthers every year! :)

I always liked the story of Esther. She showed a lot of courage in helping her people. :)

Happy Purim from me as well.
It's nice to catch up with all the festivals around and this forum does cover them all in time.
Thanks for the insight.

That sound so fun, enjoy your self, and the time with your lovely wife.

Have a great time Devorah... :cheer:
It sounds like the ideal time to get out into the world of (relative) carnival normality.
It's funny how every culture has some sort of amnesty for crossdressing or cosplaying even if it is only on a few festival days... Makes you think it may have been an ancient plot to find out who the likely CDers were in society...
Actually we don't really have our own opportunity in the UK or am I missing it? And I don't mean an imported one... and Morris Men hardly cut it...

That sounds like a lot of fun. Happy Purim, Passover, and days of Unleavened bread, also. One day at a time.
