Ironic Twist of Fate
I'm floored at the moment.
With all the negative issues I've been having with the Surgeon that was going to be doing my GRS.
Things have taken an interesting turn this morning.
I can't give a lot of details as we are now beginning to work things out, and I don't quite have full details myself.
However, I do have one major detail that has me feeling more helpful than I have been lately.
I am going to be having my GRS done by none other than Dr. Marci Bowers!
I can't tell y'all just how excited I am to be having her doing it now.

Excellent! A dear friend and former member of this forum went to Dr. Bowers for her surgery and speaks only in the highest terms of her experience.
-
Hi Emma,
Having seen Dr Marci Bowers (if the same as?) on the television programme 'I am Jazz' which is televised in the UK, I can understand your excitement?
Good luck:

Happy for you, Emma Beth! Best wishes with your surgery and may your recovery be uncomplicated! Hugs Lana Mae

Today is my 4th anniversary of GCS with Dr. Marci Bowers, my only issue was it took me a long time to heal due to my age, I was 66 at the time.

Sorry I haven't been on a a while.
I have a lot going on.
I am on pins and needles at the moment.
I'm hoping this new development doesn't sabotage my Surgery.
I recently found out that I may need to have one of my Kidneys taken out. At this point it's only a possibility until we can find out more of what's going on.
I spent an afternoon in Nuclear Medicine last Thursday. I have a morning in Radiology for a Renal CT Scan to look for stones in my right Kidney.
Then, next week, I find out from the Urologist what he wants to do about my kidney.

Well, that's amazing!
For those who don't know, Dr. Bowers is a mtf transgender as well.
Emma, I wish you the best.

That is great news, Emma. Your earlier experience had me concerned.
Keep us up to date!
