Wish me luck, just left the hotel! Headed to the mall, then to the airport.
I'm anxious to hear how it went!
Short mall trip went just fine, new concealer and foundation from the cosmetics store. One or two kiosk guys called out to me "sir, sir come look", a confused look here or there, but the SA was very sweet!
Taxi drivers no problems either. Now of to visit TSA.
Wishing you JOY!!!!!!
Went through TSA precheck line, nothing eventful. Wendy's burger with a little line. Companion restroom. Just another travel day, I know I'm not fooling anyone, just enjoying being myself dressed how I want.
Congratulations and enjoy your trip. It is a wonderful and invigorating experience.
Have fun and enjoy your trip :)
Just to keep the play by play going...
Exiting my first segment I had to get my suitcase from the overhead 2 seats behind. Two nice businessmen got it out of the overhead, amd commented how heavy it was. I just said thank you, and exited. Mostly I'm feeling tired, not excited, but definitely more comfortable than I would in a suit.
Now my next segment is first class. Time for a drink!
And... home. Tired, but I think I'll continue my adventure, my first full day en femme, with dinner then a game of pool at my favorite TG bar in San Diego!
Thanks girls for your support to get here!
Hugs,
Jamie
:cheer:
Very cool! Enjoyed your updates along the way!
Hugs,
Persephone.
Congratulations on a successful day!
Congrats Jamie, enjoy the dinner, you earned it. Travel is a pain not matter how you're dressed.
Hi Jamie,
Congrats . . . I found flying "en femme" one of the biggest thrills. You got it right in that once you throw off the shackles of "caring if people read you" . . . it makes for a much more enjoyable time.
Hugs

Hi Jamie,
Whew, what a day! You must feel a sense of relief and accomplishment .. enjoy your day today, and thanks for sharing! Isn't it nice when gentlemen offer to help with your carry-on?
Congrats. Claire
Ahh your so lucky! I would love a chance to fly anywhere considering I have never been on a plane before. I bet it feels so liberating to get to do it while en femme! I'm so peanut butter and jealous! :)
I hope your flight went well. What were the highlights?
Dani
Congrats on your flying experience!
I think having these updates makes it really exciting to read!
Keep it flowing!
Gabriela
Sounds like a great trip so far!
Did showing ID pose any problem or additional scrutiny?
Dani
None whatsoever. But I do use the precheck line so its much easier then regular security lines, don't have to unpack your laptop, don't have to take off your shoes, etc. And I'm sure the security folks as LAS have seen it all before.
I also wore very light foundation, no eye makeup, no bra/forms.
By the way both LAS and SAN airports have separate unisex/family restrooms. LAX has them but inside the entry to the mens/womens rooms.
I'm glad it was a positive experience for you!
Hi Jamie,
Thanks for all the updates. I'm happy and excited for you and you've given me encouragement. On Monday I'm flying pretty.
It is all in a days travel experience. I have been flying pretty for years both before 9/11 and after. Sometimes there is a little confusion and some days go great just like you have explained, Jamielynn. Just prepare yourself for a little hassel because of it. When it doesn't happen, its a great day. Most airports have a world of experience with us. Even when the security level gets increased. Do not try to show a fake ID. Show your proper ID and all will be good.
Sounds very successful. Congratulations.
