Ideas on going out in London

Hi all, once in a while my SO and I go to a hotel for a weekend so that I can be Samantha in the privacy (protection) of our room. Its been quite a while since we last went and I recently asked if we can go again and she was fine with it. I suggested that this time we went to London and maby went to a night club. I have only been out once before in Toronto.
Anyway, I am looking for advice - is the Wayout club good for first timers with their SO? any other places worth recommending?
