Technology
After getting dressed this morning, I decided to include a touch of makeup. I keep it subtle, however when I tried opened my iPhone, which has facial recognition, it wouldn?t open and asked for my password, which I had to think about. Funny. I finally remembered it. Guess it works. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

The technology I choose to not embrace I tend to keep at arms length. Zoom comes to mind. But this facial recognition thing needed to open an iphone. I think I might try to figure it out and give it a go. Hopefully it will not recognize me. I have my doubts.

I wonder why the makeup made a difference?!?!?
My grandson and my granddaughter are all able to open their mom's phone with facial recognition. I thought it had more to do with face biometrics.

It used to open for me, but then recently, it stopped working. I was trying some new makeup and stuff, but it was weird. So I did the "set up alternate appearance" while made up, and now it opens no matter what (except when I'm wearing my mask)

Hi Char, I?m really not sure. Another experience, Face Time. I got a call from a friend and he was on Face time. Ooops. I don?t think he saw me but nothing was said. Fortunately, I had the phone pointed in another direction.

Nancy Sue, I have a galaxy s22. It recognizes me when I am all girled up.

I have a Samsung Z flip3, I'm curious now if Emily gets recognized..

Siri recognizes me most of the time. Sometimes she just gets confused.

OMG!!! I don't have that feature and will avoid it at all costs. I really just want a phone I can make calls with as well as an occasional text.

I just got a new phone and that and the fingerprint feature don't work very well. Most of the time I have to use the four digit passcode. No big deal.
