Out and dressed
I am still taking baby steps in the dressing world. Yesterday I determined to take a huge step and do something in public while dressed.
I stopped at a convenience shop went into the mens room and changed into Heidi. I did not have a wig on, thankfully I timed it that when I walked out nobody was in the room or the hallway.
Out to the truck and over the the fuel pumps. I filled the truck up and away I went.
I stopped on the way home to take the below photos. I know I need to get some different shoes but it is what I had with me.
Nervous but very happy I made this step in life.

Hi Heidi,
Interesting story.
You look great.
The story has some empty parts:
I'm curious about you dressed in a public bathroom of a store and then go back home, dressed? If you, why you didn't dress at home? If you don't, where did you plan to dress back to male mode?
-
So cool :) I'm taking similar first steps and it does feel great! Good for you for getting out - even if it's just for a drive!
-
I remember the first time I went out dressed. A quick trip down to the local convenience store to get gas. I was sooooooooo nervous. It gets better.
-
Have you thought about just wearing some of your women's clothing that is somewhat passable as men's clothing? Maybe pants, jeans, or a cardigan?
-
Hi Heidi :hugs:, You are out there now and there is no turning back . >Orchid ..o:daydreaming:o..

I agree with Alice...that is a very pretty dress! I wish I the nerve to make that step.
-
Great you took that step! Now that you are out and about what is next? Hugs Lana Mae

Heidi, I agree with Blue Orchid, once the genie is out of the bottle it wants more nd more. I can't quit planning my next outing.

I have a pretty good memory but it's strongest when I remember back to events similar to yours! Enjoy the adventure and keep going!
-
Congratulations, Heidi.
I found "The Road" and the interstate to be a welcoming and safe place to travel en femme.
You're going to have to try this here in Denver. (PM me if you want to go out in the next couple weeks).
Look good, girl. The darker wig is nice.

awesome that is a cute outfit. i’m just a month into CD . but one day would be nice to go out in public as well.
-
You look great - hope your outing was good and will not be your last
-
That's a lovely outfit. Sounds like you made a good first step out!

Heidi,
Yep, that's another genie out of it's bottle alright. I must admit that the thought of changing in the mens would scare me rigid. As Vanessa asks, are you able to come and go dressed from home as that's the way to go.
Here's looking forward to the time you can go the whole nine yards and go out with makeup, wig and a comfortable pair of heels. That is such a rush.
Good fortune with your adventures.
-
Happy for you. Beautiful dress.
-
Heidi,
Congratulations on your trip. You look beautiful.

Good job on being brave! It gets easier and easier as you discover most people just go about their lives.

Once you really get out there it's amazing how many people just stare at the ground or their phones and don't give you a second look. There are of course exceptions and some people notice but don't comment. I used to be sooo stressed out but the majority of people ignore everyone around them.
-
Congrats, Heidi. That's a really nice dress.

Forever onwards and forward.
A few steps in the right direction.

Its all about baby steps and it looks like you have made the first big one by going out.
Kudos to you !!
