I?m curious how many MtF members here have SO?s that visit the FAB forum and how has it worked out. My wife is accepting/supportive and not sure if she would have anything to gain/give in the conversations. Not wanting specifics, just general impressions.
I would love it if my wife would join here and then also join the FAB forum. I feel that would show she is interested in learning more about CD’ing and to listen to other wives and SO’s that are also members should be a positive thing.
Just my 2 cents as I have told my wife about it and it was a no go.
Personally if she did... I would quite. This is the one thing in my life that is all mine and she does not have a say so on what I wear and how I wear it... plus she hates it anyway...
My wife gets enough reading of what is available to me here.
She is not one for social forums, in fact this is the only one I socialise on.
Other forums are of a technical nature and I use them for information dissemination only.
My wife although supportive of my crossdressing has no interest in the FAB forums.
My wife's response and be summed up as "NO WAY"!
Is that clear enough. She's supportive of me within limits and that's it.
I take what I can get.

Hi Bea, my wife is disturbed by my crossdressing and was deeply hurt by my lying about it for 36 years. But she is supportive in her own way: she doesn't chastise me about the dressing and joined the forum to learn about the subject as much as she could so as to better understand what it meant for us. She also joined the FAB and it was a huge relief for her to be able to share with other genetic women, accepting or not. In turn it benefited our couple greatly and helped settling the dust of my coming out. The FAB is a safe haven where she can share or vent or otherwise exchange with other GGs in similar situations. Just like what us crossdressers do here. My wife can't share with close female friends since we didn't decide to disclose it yet. The FAB GGs are therefore her only confidants, and if you try walking in her shoes for one second, you realize the huge value of that. So I'm glad the FAB exists, and I am grateful to the ones who make it exist.
My wife felt the same as yours when I first came out to her.
I showed her this site and we read all the messages together. I encouraged her to try the FAB section and she found it very helpful in learning more about us and how other women felt about it and their husbands/boyfriends.
After that we joined a support group, a chapter of Tri-Ess, and that is what really allowed her to fully accept me and all of this. She participated her for a few years, but then became so supportive she felt it wasn't needed any longer. I still come here as I love reading the posts and adding my views.
I don't know what a FAB Forum is. Is that a website ? Or a reference to a type of forum?

If It helps I know it exists but even as a member of staff I can't see what's being said in there.
My partner has mixed things to say about the fab forum. Her experience was that there is a fair pile of people complaining about their crossdressing husbands. Most of the problems aren’t directly from the dressing. It seems there are some pretty crummy spouses out there who happen to be crossdressers.
Those darn crummy husbands.... Hope I am not one. I would be if my SO walks in right now.
I must agree with Karren. If I had a wife and she joined here I would go elsewhere. I have met plenty of like minded friends here and we talk out in the open, on forums. If I had a spouse as a member here it would make me feel like someone was watching over my shoulder. Just my two cents.

Just saying.
There are only only a few couples that acknowledge both being on here together.
Much like the cders who want to keep it private there are wife?s and girlfriends that look for a way to save their relationship, understand and have a safe place to talk with others that understand .
The hubby might be deep in the closet and no one knows but the wife putting her in the closet as well . Telling family members or friends who do not understand mostly results in them saying leave them or do not put up with that.
So a safe place to see it does not really have to be a big deal, and sort things out to make a relationship work.
My point is ....... some wives might be here and you do not know . Some searched for answers found this place and just like your identity is kept safe ( unless you out yourself here) theirs is safe here . We would never out them.
So those who think your wife is not here that may or not be true. :)

Add as far as bashing our partners ( someone mentioned... ...years ago there was a member than had horrific things things going on and it was a place for her to vent her horrible partner just happened to be a cder one thing had nothing to do with each other.
We are here because we love our partners and want to be involved and supporting in our own ways.
Those who it is a private thing ( cder) and want it a private thing ....ummm ok guess it depends on what kind of relationship you want.
As far as I know, my wife has no knowledge of this group and I would prefer to keep it that way.
