That was a lovely experience.
Told my wife a few weeks back after almost 24 years of marriage. We're firmly DADT. Hopefully that will change over time, but can't take that for granted.

Lucky you. Sounds like things are moving in a more positive direction with your wife.
I try to avoid the mirror most of the time. I'm more into the comfort and feeling I get from wearing the clothes. The looks isn't as important to me.
It does now after over 40 years. Lots of guilt for a long time, but I've come to accept it as part of me in recent years. I see it was wearing what I like and what makes me feel comfortable.
