    Angry some places not friendly

I was looking at the police reports from the Bozeman, Mt Daily Chronicle and came across the following entry.

"A man who entered a store in the Gallatin Valley Mall to try on skirts was escorted off the premises for indecent exposure."

what do those of you who go shopping think of this??

I think s/he should have been in a changing room before trying on the skirts.

He was arrested for indecent exposure, which makes me think that he was trying on skirts in the middle of the store.

Like Eddie Izzard says: Weirdo Transvestite.

Bozeman is not a particularly conservative town. I'm betting that the guy made a scene vs. just going shopping.

LOL... sounds to me like he may have been a little indescreet? maybe he had forgotten to shave his legs. Now that would be indecent!

i posted the complete police report as published in the paper, but haven't seen any other reports. but probably he did make a scene, that caused the problem.

Don't try on a skirt in Bozeman, Montana if you don't have all the accessories

shoes and make-up - and leave your horse outside next time

There are some stores in Montana that post a notice on the front door requesting that all guns be checked in before shopping. Maybe s/he was packing heat, without checking it in.

Is there more to that report?
In other words, what exactly was this man doing?
Was he exposing himself and trying on skirts while out in the open?

If so, I consider him one of those exhibitionists, or psychos, who flash people for the thrill and not representative of crossdressers.
To me, no crossdresser, in their right mind, would indecently expose themselves like that because they don't want to out themselves.

    Just my two cents.

    Hugs!

I love to see a beautiful woman in a nice dress, but then again, I also want to wear that dress.

    Pure speculation here:

    Short skirt, no panties.

Insufficient information as to whether there was an intent to cause a problem or if he just wasn't thinking clearly or if it was an accident (e.g., sat down to check out whether it was too short or not and it was and someone happened to be looking right then.)

We need the rest of the Story! The paper needs to print a more detailed account of what actually took place at the store.

Well while we do need more information before we can judge the story properly, similar things have indeed happened before remember.

The municipal authorities have cited Herrod for indecency in violation of a "no sagging pants" ordinance. He says the rule shouldn't apply to him because of his medical condition and has a doctor's note to prove it.
For reference, here are the Bozeman Daily Chronicle police reports.

    http://bozemandailychronicle.com/police_reports/

These are the reports listed for Tuesday 10th March 2009. When did this incident supposedly occur? Google shows nothing recent of this nature. A link to the original page would help us clarify this matter, can anyone find it?

    Police reports

The Bozeman Police Department reports for Sunday included the following:

    * Three men were given a warning after they got into a fight in a taxi.

    * Police checked on a man who was “wandering around the area in the middle of the road” on West Main Street around 5 a.m. He was also picking up trash. He was not intoxicated and said he was looking for his friend.

    * A house on Fieldstone Drive was shot with paintballs.

    * A car was egged while parked on Droulliard Avenue.

    * A man at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and West Harrison Street in his friend’s borrowed truck didn’t know the friend’s last name and couldn’t find the friend’s house. He eventually found it on his own.

The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office reports for Sunday included the following:

    * Someone used a computer at a café on Lone Mountain Trail and didn’t pay for the time.

    * A woman was bitten by a bobcat that holed up under the porch of her house on East Hodgeman Road. The bobcat was put down by a law enforcement agent.

    * Someone kicked in the door of a home on East Cameron Bridge Road while the owners were out and took guns and avalanche gear.

    * A 20-year-old man said his mother would not give him his passport that was mistakenly sent to her address. He said she does not want to him to leave the country.

The inmate population at the Gallatin County jail included the following:

    * The jail held 47 inmates.

    * An additional 16 inmates were being held in other jails.

    * Three people were in the sheriff’s county work program.

    * Court Services had 313 people under its supervision.

Well I ran that text you supplied through the search engine on the Bozeman Daily Chronicle website and it came up empty. Not saying you're wrong or anything of course but any help you can give such as a date of publication might be useful. I'll be able to contact the paper then to see if we can get more information

There are videos on youtube of idiots crossdressing for reactions in public. I think one I saw was a dork dressed up, looking at lingerie in a Target, or something. Maybe it was some punk, trying to do some Johnny Knoxville-jackass type of crap. Like we say, not enough details.

Sadly, Paul Harvey passed away ten days ago, but, maybe his son can do a "Rest of the story" , on this one.

Since we don't know "The Rest of The Story," for now we will have to accept the idea that our Dear Sista' might have been having some mental problems and deliberately exposed herself.

However, in The Past some Police Departments (Los Angeles was notorious for doing it,) used to arrest Crossdressers on that same charge, mearly because they were wearing women's clothing. That sort of "Roust" hasn't been done anywhere for at least thirty years! Let us hope that The Bozemen P.D. hasn't decided to "regress."

Kind of odd, I think Montana was one of the first states to allow women to vote. Wouldn't it be a pity if they decided to go all conservative and lower the boom on people who wouldn't qualify as felons.

    Peace and Love, Joanie
