The biggest problem with comfort depends on weather someone who likes to run us down as faggots happens to be at the same place.. and that can happen anywhere. The store, club, or shop people can be determined as to being welcome, it is the others that might be there that rocks my comfort.

I'm pretty much comfortable going anywhere. Although, I wouldn't go to places, such as redneck bars and the like.
Other than that, I go wherever.
I haven't yet been to a sports event, such a football or baseball game, but that's on my list.

    Hugs!

I love to see a beautiful woman in a nice dress, but then again, I also want to wear that dress.

I'm comfortable whereever I go. But it did take time to build up that confidence. I remember a time when I would slightly peek out the door first before opening it, paranoid anyone might be out there to see me. Then I got up the nerve to hit some of the gay clubs. After a while of that I got the confidence to go to the movies. Then shopping, and so on. Now I stroll out everywhere and anywhere in girl mode and don't think anything of it. Except for work, I'm pretty much in girl mode most of the time now.
Now that all said, there are some places I wouldn't go dressed still. Churches, redneck bars - pretty much anyplace where one might expect to find intolerance and biggots. But then I wouldn't go to those places in drab either.

Bakersfield is as redneck as they come...

I'm comfortable at gay bars, but would like to attend straight bars too. Although I have no friends that go to bars really. So I won't go alone.

My problem is privacy. I don't have privacy renting from a family friend that doesn't know about me as far as I know. I would feel much better getting dressed at home and then going about my business to lunch, movies, or the mall. Very few times has anyone made rude remarks. Denny's once. So I don't go there as a girl anymore. It's IHOP for me. They know about me, and treat me with dignity and respect. Therefore I tip generously.

I think as I get my weight issues under control, I'll be much more confident to go anywhere. In fact, before the summer is over, I want to go to Pismo Beach, or a little town north of Pismo called Cayucos.

    discomfort zone

With this group we might need to id the other end of the spectrum. The most uncomfortable place for me has always been the inside of the door with my hand on the knob getting ready to go out. Once I'm past that point I know I'm committed and it's all good. Each new experience and place has it's own level of excitment or discomfort, but it's that first step out that always gets me.

Being transgender isn't a lifestyle choice. How you deal with it is.

I get less comfortable going to a typically male infested zone like the hardware or plumbing stores, but I could probably do it, I just wouldn't like being the object of attention.

The other discomfort is actually being in a totally feminine environment like a women's change room... I'm still attracted to women and it just wouldn't feel right... although, if accompanied by my wife I could probably manage to keep my eyes from wandering (out of respect for her and not getting a wack on the head)

I am comfortable anywhere I go enfemme, I know I dont pass however that does not change how I feel, I like to go to places where there are alot of peaple, resaurants, the mall, walmart, car auctions, casino's, car shows, museums, small towns, big cities, etc. I travel everywhere enfemme. I have had peaple tell me I seem more comfortable in my own skin when dressed enfemme versus dressed as a male, I feel more at ease when dressed enfemme. I dont go to bars because I dont like to be around drunks, and you never know when something bad will take place there. As far as using the ladies restroom I tend to be uneasy because I dont want to be in trouble with the law should a lady be offended by me being there, however in Colorado it is legal to use the ladies restroom if you are dressed as a woman.

thanks sally. public disturbance huh... well I think I wont even consider thinking about it unless I can pass 100%, and that is impossible so I guess I will never use a womens ever. It is interesting though, that as what others said too, you can go to one based on how youre dressed as... interesting. Im just thinking of this picture I saw of a guy cosplaying as sailormoon and its hard to explain how it looks like, just thinking of how far this law can be really pushed...

My first time out I was the "deer in the headlights".
Now, after about 3 years going out with my spouse and some "girl friends" I go anywhere and everywhere.
I ALWAYS use the ladies room...less hassle and besides, where else would a lady like myself do her business?

Currently, my comfort zone is the world.
    I don't wear women's clothes, I wear MY clothes !
