Who here incorporates the CD lifestyle into income generation?

No, I'm NOT with the IRS. Just got to thinking about the phrase, "do what you love, and the money will follow." What I currently "do" fetches quite decent money, but I don't "love" it nearly as much as I love CDing. Hope to hear from those happy people who actually make money at this.

Personally I lover coal mining... And there's nothing crossdressing related that could generate this kind of income. Nothing legal that is!

I learned a long time ago to NEVER do anything I love for work... it may seem crazy, but you end up no longer loving it...

I was once a hobbiest photographer - loved it - spent so much of my time consumed with it, and loving every minute. I decided this was how I wanted to make a living. and I did quite well at it... but during that time period, where i was making a good living as a pro, I began to dread picking up the camera, something I loved sooo much before... it was a little more than 2 years after I moved to a new profession that I was able to pick up a camera again and really enjoy it. To this day though, I don't have the passion for it that I did before I made it my living.

I actually would like to do this and am trying to find avenues that this would make sense with. Modeling and DJing are two of the things I'm thinking of right now.

My business is doing TERRIBLE right now.. so, I'm considering trying to get a part time job where I can work dressed en femme, at places like Victoria's Secret, Dress Barn, Fashion Bug.. any kind of store that caters to mostly women.... I'd love to do some modeling.,. love looking pretty and sexy and having my photo taken.

I totally agree with Tamara. If you want to make your living while dressed, then do it!!

But i think the original post was about taking your crossdressing, and profiting from it (the crossdressing) -- To me that is where the rub is.

I have to say I have thought about it, seriously for a long time, but there are absolutely no prospects in Scotland apart from becoming a drag queen or whetever performance art, so you would really have to step up to the plate to earn something. CD Modelling's hard to come by, but I've figured out it's not what I'm looking for. Could be easier in London, and definitely in some USA cities.

Online, I have seen an ad advertising T-girls needed for a music video(ad doesn't exist anymore) in London, so I would say try TV/modelling agencies that may be looking for genuine or convincing TV/CD film/TV extras. There's no guarantee you would make a worthwhile income though.

If you have a job, you may be able to transition successfully because of the HR rules and procedures. In some areas, it is really pretty smooth. I'm at the end of my career, so I'm not going to make this move until I return (within a year). But I agree with Tamara and others who have written that you just need to do it.

I was commissioned for an illustration once by someone who stumbled across my crossdressing photos then my drawings. It sort of surprised me.

I can think of lots of ways to profit from my crossdressing, but I'm not really interested in pursuing them, at least not now. I have other dreams to chase. :3

I do, at least in a roundabout way. Being a crossdresser, I am tapped into the TG community and meet folks at group meetings and conventions and such. Being an electrologist, knowing transgender folks and being a TV myself gives me an opportunity to meet others who are interested in what I can offer and it helps get business. I do my work en drab and business is all under my male name however, and I don't advertise the fact I am a TV to cisgender prospects.

I will be needing to make a career change within the next year or two and am seriously considering the beauty industry -- nails, electrolysis, or even both -- largely because I would be able to dress as I please.

Due to my curious nature and relentless attraction to "adventure", I have considered a few possibilities along that path. But all of them end up connected to some porn angle, and I have learned that I need to keep myself away from certain pursuits. I do not allow myself to pursue anything connected to mountain climbing, IRL racing, drug distribution, or porn. I would just be too good in those areas to keep myself from self-destructing...

That CD "porn" angle has been quite enticing at times...but I would probably just end up as a burned out junkie, with a bunch of sagging cosmetic surgery scars, panhandling on Hollywood Blvd...

Does this qualify?. Together with my wife, we run a small Chambre and Table d'Hotes in France. I can dress as I please, there is always lots of cleaning and domestic chores to be done and they seem to be so much easier whilst dressed. We also receive lots of girls here for organised evenings or just for a break away from their home towns so they can dress as they wish without fear of being seen, of course as host, I am required to be fully dressed as well. We don't make a fortune, but then all we need to do is to cover our costs.

Our local thrift store needs volunteers to work the floor.
Myself I just retired from landscaping self-employment. Worked out OK--worked drab. Bookeeping as I wish.

I could suggest, start an online store to sell used dresses. So you of course have to model each one for the photo. You need a camera remote release and tripod. Enjoy.

Or you could demonstrate heavy equipment en femme--just to prove to the prospective buyers--that it is easy to operate.
