Bringing Everything to Light

I was in vegas this week at an annual convention. By now I can honestly say that I have a couple hundred friends there, and I dressed up in front of everyone for the first time! I think I shocked every last one of them haha. I am proud of myself, because this was not easy and it took me a lot of hard work to get to where I was for this day - 1/4/11. It was made possible thanks to amanda richards of true colors makeup, and also from the help of other forum members here! Thanks to you all.

Most people got over the shock fairly quickly, and a few immediately thought it was one of the most amazing things they've ever seen hahah. My appearance was extremely unexpected, and quite dramatic! I felt like a celebrity or something.. just walking through the entry way into the casino I had literally about 18 different strangers ask to take their picture with me! I don't think I would have gotten nearly so much attention except for the fact that I was wearing 5" stripper heels and pushing 6'9"

A few people did have some ignorant things to say, and I was called disgusting 3 times. It was pretty hurtful but you can't let people see any weakness, and I was called beautiful way more often!

Anyway, in light of this event I wanted to share some pictures of me publicly for the first time on here. (besides my tiny avatar of course)

Haha no marriage proposals but I did help two guys out with a scavenger hunt by posing for an eiffel tower haha.

Also special thanks to stephanies bosom buddies for providing reasonably priced forms. I also give thanks to Nicole Guidetti, Dana and Erynn for their "Sexy Moves for the Club" DVD and choreography!

the last shot would be found on the family's photo wall. the big hair would be the one for a photo opp thinking your were a movie star or just famous.

I've been extremely impressed by Amanda and her talent!
She has helped to make my dreams come true, and has been doing makeup for 30 years. I would not suggest going anywhere else!

Label me a pessimist, but I think real talent is a rare thing in this world.
Amanda is a gem and I have seen photos of what she has done for other girls.

WOW - I often hear stories about people coming out and at times wish I could as well. You look stunning. Good for you - at a personal level does it feel better for you mentally for coming out? Like most girls here I have came out to my better half but no more than that. Although I am certain that

a. My eldest son seen me (right in front of me)
b. Mother has kindly washed our laundry (woman's clothing not a size 8 (I am 16-18)).
c. Youngest has seen my red toe nails
d. Father was at the door (see through glass) as I was "houseworking" to my hearts content with Christina Augillera belting out. I turned to see him walk away OOPS

Reactions to a-d. have been zero so OK. But wondered if I could pluck up the courage to go all the way. Anyway dont want to hi-jack your thread so VERY well done you and very confident you as well, looking as you do every reason to be so..

I wish I could have gotten amanda out there, and I tried to pay her expenses for it! Haha.

You know, honey, it would have shown a bit of class for you to have given some credit where credit was due. To the person and the store who helped you look so hot that people were begging to take your picture? That asked for your help in a scavenger hunt? Who came in early to do your makeup so you could make it to your function on time? Who was there for you when you needed her? Oh, yes, it was Amy at Just You-Glamour Boutique2 in Las Vegas. I'm sure Amanda Richards is everything you say and more. It wouldn't have cost you a dime to acknowledge Amy and her store in your thread and the part they played in your big coming out to "hundreds" of your friends. We can use all the friends and support we can get, and those we encounter along our journeys should be acknowledged and appreciated. Now if Amanda could only teach you about poise and grace...
