    SRS in 18 days

I am having surgery in 18 days and have stopped HRT since Monday. I have a killer headache and just about want to kill everyone. Please tell me it will get better during the next two weeks.

OMG! I am not going to read ANY of your posts until you return because you will be a complete "b*%^! for the next two weeks without your hormones!!!!!

Seriously Frances, I wish that these next 18 days pass quickly for you and that you have a very positive rewarding operation with minimal hearing time and LOTS of good medicines to keep you smiling all during recovery!

    Hugs,

Too late! According to some, it has already happened.

    Thank you for the wishes.

Good luck. Let's hope they don't accidentally cut off a leg or something.

If being a bitch is a side affect of going off hormones I won't notice a difference.

The real adjustment is the post-op time as your body tries to compensate for testosterone loss caused by the removal of the gonads AND dealing with the drop in Estrogen dosage...it was a real yo-yo time for me...drop, spike, drop, spike, drop, drop, drop...6 months post and still leveling off... Sorry to hear that dropping the HRT is not fun. The good news is that in 18 days, it WILL be good news!

I stopped hormones 2 weeks before surgery, I really don't think I started acting like a bitch, but if you ask the ones around me they would say yes. Best of luck!

Sorry to hear you are having so much trouble off of your HRT. Some do, some don't. Go outside and find a stick to bite down on for the next 18 days. It will be over before you know it.

Tell you what... I'll take the headache and the urge to kill for SRS. I'll just trade you. Grats by the way. I bet you are scared and excited at the same time.

    Frances ;

We are all very happy for you. If headach meds aren't working for you try a cold compress on the back of your neck, its about 95% effective for curing headaches.

    Best Wishes

Frances, I wish you the best and don't worry the headache will subside. Maybe some nervousness you were not aware of. Hugs Teri (89 days) (-:

I had to stop taking the hormones two weeks prior to SRS. I found that time worse than the recovery from surgery. Yes I feel for you because I bugged out big time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least the bowel prep won't spoil the mood for you...

I'm sorry you're feeling badly, but I'm excited for you to be finally getting your surgery - plus it's with one of the best in the world!

    You'll be in my prayers.

No wonder you've got jangled nerves, Frances. But in your current state don't do anything that will get you jail time. I've seen those women in prison movies.

Meanwhile, you have my very best wishes for a speedy recovery, and peace at last.
