I had found this site perhaps a year before I joined up. I was in a serious denial and suppression phase. As soon as I realized this was truly a part of me and who I am, I signed up a week or two later.

It took me about six months to join this very special community. I had read through almost all the pages because I was so entralled as a visitor. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe I could find such a wealth of real life information and so many fantastic sisters in one place. As a visitor I laughed and cried in reading many of the postings on this site. Like many of the ladies before me I am thankful for being a bona fide member. I have grown so much as a person and in the art form of crossdressing in a very short period of time. And I have all of you to say thank you too.

I read posts for about 30 minutes, then joined right away. I have been on other sites, but feel like I have finally found a home.

About two weeks. I thought sites like this were not for me. I had preconceived ideas about crossdresser sites.

I soon learned how wrong I was.

For many years, I've lurked throughout the history of the information superhighway. Anyone else remember the old search engines (Lycos, WebCrawler, HotBot, early Yahoo)? It seems like each had a transgender or lifestyle or society and culture option that opened a new world. Fast forward to just a few years ago when I found this forum, I visited for 5 or 6 months. I must have gone through thousands of threads and postings. Finally, I found the courage to join. This site is such a tremendous asset and community. You've all done a beautiful job. I don't speak up very often - it's taken me two and a half years to get my 10 postings to get out of rookie detention, but I think I'll splurge and reply to 2 threads this evening. Thank you all for a wonderful forum. Love, EE

I had been a member of hhplace since late 2004. In early 2010, I began to feel like, while the community there helped me immensely, that identifying merely as a male heeler wasn't the most accurate description of myself. I found this board on a whim in August and joined right away.

I didn't bother lurking... I found this place, and immediately knew I was "home". I joined immediately.

I waited about 2 to 3 weeks before I became a member. I thought that just reading threads would be enough, but I found that I wanted to feel more involved. Am very glad I've joined up

    Hi,

A little different for my self as i was allready as we say out & about & haveing been on some at the time 30 forums tho now over 60. all i had to do was figger how to find things & know what i was doing not quite so easy for one who did not know how to use computers, so it was hit & miss for a while , & then the worst detail was how to write & explain what i wonted or needed to say. more so haveing Dyslexcia major , it was very hard, so over the last 5 years its been good tho i was told to rewrite what i had done because some did not understand what i was about,

So my schooling has been a learning for me coming up 6 years, not so easy when you could not string two lines of words together,. two years were embrassing & frustrating & 5 computers later , im a bit better .....now..... i think,

I joined within the first 30 minutes of browsing, and thought that this was a bunch of REAL people treating each other with RESPECT and COMPASSION. After 4 or so years here, I can tell I was 100% right. May God bless you all and have a wonderful day!

Months. I saw lots and lots of really good participation and content, but held back because of so many questionable threads. I pretty much just ignore the latter. Strong positives include the large number and wide range of TG people, the large numbers of the membership, which keeps the forums alive, the intelligence of the discussions, and the active involvement of really good moderators. (The earlier comment on questionable threads goes to my view of topical relevancy, not the quality of moderation.) I checked out some other sites, but they don't rise to the same level.

I agree, I was quickly impressed at this forum and how supportive it is. Also at how effective the mods seem to be at keeping out perverts and salesmen! I joined within minutes of finding it, then spent an agonising couple of days waiting for my approval!!

I used to belong to a pay to play site, and had given it up because Of the type people that where there at the time, they spent all the time trying to talk everyone in to SRS, left no room for the crossdresser, so I quit and started looking for another place, after way to many she male sites, and other porn type things, I finally found CROSSDRESSERS.COM, I knew within minutes, this was the site I've always been looking for, and am in here just about everyday, and often more than once a day.

I stumbled upon this forum while surfing around one night. I checked it out for a few minutes and jumped in. It does not take me very long to make decisions.
Well, I guess I should qualify that by saying it takes me a little longer to make "good" decisions.

I'm not a very talkative person, so it took a few months of lurking before I signed up.

I had been on Parsimony (spelling?) and it shut down. Strangely enough, not long after I joined it. But I tend to feel out the lay of the land when on-line, so I read a lot and get used to the culture before I start posting.

I signed up the first day that I was on. This site is wonderful because of the hard work that the moderators put in day after day. Thank you for all you do! Leanne

Once I found this forum I was so shocked that you all seemed to have the same feelings, fears and needs that I did, it took me about 15 min. Join. I continue to be shocked and so very pleased. I am very thankful to all of you.
