    My first job....as a woman

I finally found a job today. It is at a local Subway restaurant....its a job The exciting part is that I went for my interview presenting female and they hired me. It will feel so good going to work and not have to hide who I am. I told them I was mtf and they were fine with it....even had the decency to put me at a location where they feel I will fit in with the clientel. I am sooo happy

Ok so you made a mistake telling they you are trans in the interview. Now if you really are a woman you should read this really carefully. When you start your job you should NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER talk about trans stuff ever again at work. You should never admit your trans at work!!!!! Do your job and keep the trans talk for someplace else. If you ever admit it there you will never be able to take the words back. You will be that trans girl working at Subway instead of that girl working at Subway. Even if its odvious your trans you should keep your mouth shut.

Take the advice of those that have come before you and made the mistakes and learn from thier mistakes or pay the price.

    Hi Katie,

That will be fine when I can be choosy about a job but I have been out of work for 3 months. If it wasn't for my parents I would be living on the streets. So thank you for the advice and I will use that knowledge in the future.

Tracy, I think its great that you've found a job where you can be yourself. And be yourself, you'll be happier and it will show in your work.

I'd be dancing on the ceiling girl. What a great job. I'm so impressed. I'm going to go out and get a sub from subway just for them hiring you...

    I'm really happy for you.
