For the visitors that read here what would you say?

I think most of you know that the visitors here usually outnumber the members by 3 to 1.

So, if you could dispell any stereotype myths about being TG/IS/CD/TS what would you tell them?

What would you tell somebody that doesn't understand transgendered people but want to know about us?

Great idea for a thread topic, Marleena!

    1. That only a small percentage of crossdressers are gay. Most CDs are straight males, and just happen to like dressing in women's clothes.

    2. That only a small percentage of crossdressers want to transition and become transsexual females. Most CDs - despite having some breast and vagina envy - don't want to change their gender by having surgery.

What would you tell somebody that doesn't understand transgendered people but want to know about us?
Don't buy into the myths, and read this forum, after which they can thereby draw their own conclusions about what makes us tick. Then, maybe they could tell us so we might understand ourselves too!

What would I like to tell them?

"You're likely here because of a Google search for prurient words. This isn't the porn site you're looking for. Move along."

I think that the visitors are already CDers but are worried that they might be exposed to the rest of the world if they become a member

I would just tell them not to worry and join, It was the best decision I've made in a long time

If they lurk here often? I'd say join our gorup, we're no different than you in that you couldn't pick most of us out of a crowd when we're not dressed. And you are neither alone, nor a freak, there's no reason not to embrace your feminine self and enjoy yourself.

I would tell them to either leave or get a real stiff drink and sit down and read. As scarry as it may be.

I would tell them that like any other large gathering of people, there are some really awsome people, so me rude, nasty and clusless jerks here too. But if you want the very best support site for anyone with any type of gender issues, you can't find a better one. Just learn how to weed the bad ones out and ignore them. But be prepared to find others that are just like you in many ways beyond just crossdressing.

As for dispelling stereotypes, they are all true, right? No? Maybe? Some of them, perhaps? Huh? What was the question again?

If you're a CDer don't be shy come and join the party.

If you are not, don't fall for the myth we are all gay and knock it until you've tried it!

Did you know we come from all walks of life and from all segments of the population? Did you know we don't bite? Well most of us anyways...

Yes it's true we do have nerdy IT chicks here.

Ladies does your husband wear your clothes? Come in and find out why, but not really why, but almost why. Well we have theories why.

Marleena, you are 100% correct. I see below that there are currently four users browsing this thread. Me, and three guests. How about that.

I would suggest that the guests enjoy the many posts, and realize the many varieties of people posting here. I also would recommend they visit a book store and look through some of the books on crossdressing, transgender and such. Helen Boyd's "My husband Betty" was one of the first books I read on the subject. Lots and lots of information online, and more on YouTube.

For those whole are drawn to crossdress: Welcome. Please become members. You will find support here and mostly rational thought about this gift we all have.

For those who were looking for porn: There is none here...you need to try down the street.

For wives and girlfriends who suddenly find themselves needing to know about this lifestyle: Welcome. Please join and you will have many of us and many GGs who have been down this road and can help.

To those just lurking for some other reason: We are generally rational people from all walks of life. We didn't choose this lifestyle, it chose us. It is a part of who we are and it is not possible to put it aside without incredible hardship. Having said that, this lifestyle brings with it hardship. This is serious business and I hope we mostly make that clear in all that we say here.

In general welcome. Join the sight and talk with us. We are friendly and try to be helpful.

That reminded me of how fun/frustrating it was playing with a system with no MMU, then getting the fun of undefined behaviour.

Damnit I'm nerding it again, ummmm back to topic...

We're all totally gay in here, so very, very, very gay.
You know how there are parades of big hairy gay guys wearing leather and those harnesses with the big ring in the middle?
We're more gay than that, so very especially fabiously gay.

On opposite day in opposite land, so it's a double negative.

This is obviously true. But then, I have seen too many CDs actually come out and declare that they are TSs in the end to say that there isn't some kind of association there.

I would like them to know the following:
*As of April 1st, the "Young Adult" section at the bookstore will be re-named "Vampire Fiction" due to new truth-in-advertising requirements.
*The Mayan calender will not indicate the end of the world. Do not spend the next nine months blowing your life savings and engaging in reckless behavior.
*Professional wrestling is fake. And real fans wouldn't have it any other way.
*FLCL has a lot of deep meanings, but thinking too much about it can be bad for your health.

    Hi,

Yes & St Pat's day here just the same,

Some of us come here who are a bit different wether your male , female , or a mix of both, some dress some dont ether way. we get to know each one as we talk about our selfs for some in can be a game . thats okay, no worry's. some of us are liveing very different than we were many years ago, & some have changed over a shorter time,

We all have a life & a story to tell , some of us have a way with words a few of us struggle with that, never mind i think we get over what we are trying to say.

For my self im a woman who's a bit different , so join in with us & get to know us as people who may be different in many ways & if we can help we will,

we allso like to have fun & a natter, oh yes the post's can get a bit hot at times that's all part of the differences we have here,

The Waimo girl from down under,
