    Ouch

I was wheeled in to the OR at about 9am Thursday morning.

I am not feeling good. The discomfort is overwhelming and I feel like I'm trapped in my own skin. It's uncomfortable to sit, to lie, to stand or to walk.

I also got a lot of body work done, so that's not helping at all.

    P.S. I'm smiling

I think a better question is what DIDN'T I have done.

    On my face I had;
    Hairline advancement
    Brow minimizing
    Rhinoplasty
    Jaw reduction
    Chin Reduction
    Upper lip lift
Lip injections with my own fat

    On my body:
    Breast implants
Body sculpting lipo (sounds lovely but it hurts like hell now because they took fat from everywhere, upper back, lower back etc))
Fat injections into my hips and buttocks
    Orchiectomy

It's almost 1am here and I'm having yet another sleepless night. I can tell I feel better though because I'm on my trusty laptop. It can be argued that I shouldn't have had all of these procedures in one surgery, but people don't want to argue with me right ;-)

Yes April, though I was openly transitioning and everyone at work knew why I was leaving, I was not yet presenting fully female professionally but that changes when I get back, along with my name.

Good lord, Melissa ... that's a lot, ouch!

But I'm sure the results will all be worth it. I can't wait to see the pics!

Is there anyone there who can help you? When are you going home?

    EDIT
I've moved your post and responses to its own thread (please feel free to change the title "Ouch" if you don't like it ), in order to return the other thread to NCAmazon. I'm sure you'll get a lot more well wishes.

Best Wishes for a speedy recovery Melissa, you are a marvel of intestinal fortitude which by your description sounds like the only thing they did not touch with a scalpel.

What a lot to go through and you had to pay to experience all that pain and suffering! It hurts now, but soon you will be even more beautiful and feel so complete!

Ouch is an understatement. I have to ask you Melissa, how much

    Hi Melissa,

Keep smiling (if you can -- must be SO difficult and uncomfortable) but keep thinking about the rainbow at the end.

    Yay Melissa!!!

Even though you look and feel like you've been the bad guy in a Chuck Norris or Steven Segal movie right now, in a few months you'll feel like the hot woman they were there to rescue.

I'm so happy for you and would still change places with you in a minute.

I wish you a speedy recovery.

OMG you are gonna look so beautiful...i can already see it...

This is your toughest couple days, but you'll know you made it when you go to the pharmacy in a day or two to pick up your meds and everybody sees a girl that got the got the crap beat of her (which is what you are!!!)

I found spaghettio's and mac/cheese to be delightful foods to eat until i could put something solid in my mouth without hurting my stitches..

all the best for a quick recovery!!

Congrats!! But you could use the excuse at work that you had gotten ran over by a truck, you have the picture to prove it..
Then tell them this is what happen after they put you back together. I guess I will have to live with it.. Besides you will love looking at yourself in the mirror everyday from now on!!

    Hugs, Tanya

Wow, that was a lot. Good for you and I hope the healing process goes well and swiftly. When you are up to it, I am sure a lot of us would appreciate some info about your surgeon and what you think of him/her, as well as things like the consultation process and prices. And of course, more photos as the real beautiful you emerges from under the bandages. I am starting to research surgeons for FFS and BA and want all the info and recomendations I can get. Thanks for posting and heal quickly...............Stephanie
