Yup. I been there and done that, looking at "crossdressers" on Youtube. Sure you get the odd nice video and the odd helpfull video on make up and stuff but the hard part is finding the good stuff in amoungst the drivvel.
Some people (crossdressers are people, too) march to a different drum.
yeah, it's a bit depressing. There are a couple of good ones, though. Granted, they're mostly of younger people, but they're still not too bad.
I hesitated to put any on here because in some I think her feminine voice is awful her wig looks ridiculous, and she's not that convincing, but for those of us (such as myself) still unconvinced that we could ever pass, there is proof in the transforming power of makeup and fake hair. Plus, her eyebrows are natural. GTFO!! I personally appreciate that because I don't think it looks good to have your orbital ridge bare and poking out (hair grows there for a reason, ladies). I also find that the women that men find most attractive tend to have natural eyebrows, just well managed. And it's so easy to go overboard! Taylor Swift is an excellent example. VERY pretty girl. But she keeps her eyebrows arched so high that it looks a little weird. Just my opinion.

its a mixed bag. There are a few CDrs who post informative and entertaining videos - even a few who look incredible (in a good way). I do appreciate the decorum shown by the members....sometimes with a little reinforcement from the mods
I've found some decent cross dressing clips on YouTube. Some are for refining a person's presentation. Many are just plain fooling around. You get what you pay for!I also review some of the ladies on Flickr. What you get on the Internet is a wide range of material. That's why I suggest, if you are going to tell your wife to research cross dressing on the Internet, you do not tell her to just key in 'cross dressing.' There's a lot of gross porn out there.
I have seen a few nice video's and I have seen some "Drag queen" type that is not very nice to watch.
But that is the World Wide Web for you.

Type in just about any topic on YouTube and you'll find people behaving badly. Camera on, Common sense off. That's the penalty for having the freedom to post just about anything they want.
OTOH there are some amazing videos out there. Just like diamonds, you have to process a lot of worthless rock to find them.

It really is a shame that if someone has any interest in learning about crossdressing and they end up on some of those flickr or site's that only show pic of crossdressers with there you know what hanging out, they would get a real bad impression of what we are really all about. Nothing like that.

I've never seen crossdressers on youtube, and I don't think I want to. If it's anything like the over-the-top sensationalism we see in the tabloids, I'll stick with this forum.

Unfortunately, I went to Youtube before finding this site. Everyting I found on youtube was extreme in one sense or another. I did find lots of information on makeup, but it was that super heavy, dramatic, Drag look. Idont want to be dramatic, or super sexy, or a bombshell, I just want to be cute. So I gave up on youtube and came here. More content, and less filler.

With the exception of Jessica Who, who is a member of this forum, and also very funny, I have no interest in these other videos about crossdressers.....with the exception of Captain Crossdresser cartoon.
Those who are documenting their status of transitioning, and at various stages (HRT, FFS, SRS), do interest me because they are real people who are living and experiencing real life, and I want to hear their stories.

I have only been looking/thinking about crossdressing for 9 months, and when I realized what i was, it was shocking to me what I found. I was just so lucky to find this forum very shortly after my awakening. We are a very lucky group of girls here. I thank you all so much.

Like everything in life, there are extreme versions of everything, from rleigon to politics, to sports fans to crossdressers. Try to remember that not all football games ( yes I mean the one you actually play with your foot) end in fans being crushed. Not all cross dressers act like fools, but the extremes rise to the top of our awareness, they represent a small minority of our population.
And yes, there are shining examples of wonderful people who happento be drossdressers, you just have to find them. Jessica Who is one, Amnesia Sparkles is another. Ignoer the trash and look for the gems.

IMHO youtube waters down the talent. Anyone can post on there, thus piles and piles of drivel. There are some beautiful Tran sexual women advertising for porn sites(not that I ever look at them, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, tilt of the head)
It is phenomenal that every piece of music you ever wanted to hear is on YT, that is great, but all the amatuer postings are very bad, including of course the cd'ers.
A real cd'er would not care so much about being seen on you tube as they are always dressing, there is no need for internet documentation.
