I have always had a bit of a submissive side with regard to my CDing. Tonight my wife said I am forbidden to ever look at any pornography or attend strip clubs. I have no desire for either and happy to comply. I may also not dress without her participation as well. Also, I have become her personal cosmetologist which is a dream come true.

However, in an unexpected twist, she wants us to go to a male chippendales-style show with me fully dressed as her girlfriend. I am surprisingly excited by the prospect (not so much by the sight of male strippers, but rather going out as my wife's BFF. What am I to make of this?

Its interesting that she forbids you to go to strip clubs, but yet its ok for her to go with you to a male strip club. While it does sound like it would be fun hanging with the girls, it does sound very one sided. Its ok for her, but not for you. I would be cautious, but definitely intrigued. I would not over think it and just go and enjoy it. I've been once with some GG friends and it was a blast. Also, we also saw the movie Magic Mike. The movie sucked, but the dance scenes were fantastic so we didn't care. It does help if you like hot, cut guys though.

Keep in mind, there is a difference between men going to strip clubs and women going to one. This is an over simplification and generalization, but it tends to be more sexual for men than for women (more, not all versus none). For women, it tends to be more about having fun, letting go and getting wild, and has less of a sleazy element.

Yes it does sound like fun and you get to go out with your wife. Just be ready for action when you get home because these shows usually get women in the mood. Not be sexist, just speaking from experinece years ago when my wife went with her friends and what a night when she got home.

I concur with all that has been said. There is a red flag here but seems like an exciting event she wants you both to participate in. Go and enjoy. Maybe the fact that you play a submissive role prompted the her to introduce the show idea with a prohibition that is meaningless because you both know that you don't go to strip show or porn sites. She seems to want to participate when you crossdress by having you, the submissive, ask permission. She also wants you to be her cosmetologist which is terrific. Hopefully you fully dress, play the role and enjoy applying her makeup. If you are both happy and respectful and loving, it's OK to have boundaries and role play. Enjoy the show.

Agreed. This requires an explanation. I'm not saying don't do it, but I do think the wife needs to explain this contradiction. She may not realize what she said.
