Back around Sept 2006 I had just got my act together to go out as a woman and pass. A good wig, beard shaver, and makeup… stuff I learned from here! So initially I got into shopping and trying women’s clothes in fitting rooms. When I had enough confidence to pass I then went into women’s restrooms. Then as time went by this became normal, then I went to church because I would go shopping later as a woman. Biggest achievement was going to a Job Fair in a skirt suit, and the Frito Lay’s HR lady was very accepting of me and talking of jobs with her company… But Northrop Grumman HR brushed me aside, even though I once had a Security Clearance. But the one thing I had never accomplished was going to the beach in a swimsuit… I need a good shave and tuck for that… I might have to tape myself.
Otherwise, I don’t go out dressed often… It’s become a little routine. I only dress when I want to try on clothes before I buy them, so I shop and pass very well to use the women’s fitting room. And this year was the first time I viewed Chicago’s Halloween Parade in my Cheerleader outfit, only because I bought a matching jacket for it on ebay [it made me warm].
So where have you been and where do you want to go dressed as a woman?
If the workplace was accepting I’d like to occasionally dress pretty for work too! Some companies now say they are accepting of “sexual orientation,” – I wonder if that gives us a license to crossdress at work!
