Is this how Madame Currie felt when she discovered uranium?

I'm in love with headbands! I can't believe how simple a thing can make such a huge difference and my hair stays out of my face. For some reason I felt like I couldn't touch my wig's style but I was wrong! Somehow I think it makes for a really feminine look. Live and learn....

I love headbands, too, Jennifer, and I have a bunch of them; they keep my hair out of my face and help me show off my earrings. I have both "plain" ones and "fancy" ones, the fancy ones including some in bright colors with fabric flowers attached, and a couple of metal ones with sparkly gemstones.

When I don't do headbands, I do barrettes, one on either side to keep the hair back. I have "plain" and "fancy" versions of those, too.

    Jennifer,

You look great in a head band. My ex-wife used to wear them all the time and I thought she was so cute!

I will be experimenting with them too when my hair grows out a bit more.

I LOVE head bands! I usually wear them around my neck, tho. Hides that turkey neck pretty well!

I figured once I got started with wigs I'd get a style and make a ponytail, but a headband might also be a great idea.

My hair is getting long enough to try headbands, but so far I like the rigid, half-round type. What do you call them? They instantly give my face and head a more feminine look, and I have been surprised how attractive "matching color touches" like headbands can be. (Until recently I was neck-down so I still have a lot to learn.)

Some people call those "Alice bands," after the girl from Wonderland. I have a number of them, some relatively plain in neutral colors, others fancier, with little fabric flower attachments, or in metal rather than plastic, and with sparkly gemstones. I wear either those or barrettes as part of a complete femme presentation.
