    Talking I did it! All My Friends and Family Know!!!

    I am now Candice to all my friends and family! I have been talking with many individually over the course of this year, but come friday I will have been transitioning for 4 months, and on hormones for 1 Mo.

    I have included a link for my coming out letter. If I said anything on here that isn't correct (other than my own feelings of course), please let me know. I have been very blessed with all of the support and well-wishers on this new chapter in my life and you can imagine the huge sigh of relief I fee right now!

    I would like to take a moment here though and thank everyone that has been really supportive during a very questionable time for myself.

    You are absolutely beautiful honey! I'm so happy for you! What an amazing feeling and sworm of emotions you must be feeling right now. I wish my coming out was so easy on my family. I've lost several members of my family including a beloved uncle/godfather as a result. I did have a good transition at work though, and other areas of my life have worked out fantastic. So I know that feeling of joy you are experiencing. Congrats!

    Real work might start but the hardest part is over. The dreaded "coming out".
    It takes a true Erin to be a pain in the assatar.

    Thank you all I have been very blessed by the positive support that I have received. BOTH what people can see in likes/comments, and in my PM box on FB. On a more somber note, I know that this is NOT the typical response for everyone. It breaks my heart to know that there are still people that have to hide for various reasons. Even one new friend that I found lives only a couple miles from me has gotten mixed feedback as she is going through her journey as well. (Different age range... I am 30, she is closer to 55). She has shown me some of the positive, as well as some of the negative. The negative can be downright heartbreaking!

    I have been really surprised by the response of a few on facebook though... people I thought would have nothing to do with me, turned out to have grown much over the last few years and have written supportive responses that have literally brought me to tears!
