The apple doesn't fall that far from the tree sometimes

I know this subject has been touched on a few times before but for the benefit of some of the newer members. I felt it was worth repeating. When you are en femme, just how much do you feel that you look like your Mother? In my own case, I could have been her twin, or, well, her daughter. We could have entered a look alike Mother and Daughter contest. In any case, while she is now gone, she remains strongly in my memory and I feel that where ever she is now she is very proud of me as both her son and daughter and for honoring the legacy of the women in our family. In any case, this is one reason why dressing holds deep feelings for myself. Do others feel they resemble their Mother?

    Nope

The older I get the more I am turning into my father. Makes it tough to even dream of passing unless I was always sitting next to my older sister, poor girl looks like me and Dad

Nope. I don't look like my mother at all. However, my wife does say I resemble one of my sisters.

In one of the pictures we have, even we need to double check whether the person is me or my mother.

Except I don't look like my mother did when she was young and pretty : I look like she did about 7ish years ago.

With my ;atest wig, i sure do resemble my mother. It is scary. Dressed in drab, i look a bit more like my human father. I guess that would be normal.

The only time out in public dressed, was at Halloween last year. I went as a french maid. We stopped by to pick up my wife's sister and her niece to go out. After the laughing and a few oh my god's my sister-in-law said wow you look just like your mother. Other people that saw pictures from that night said the same thing. I don't know what that says about me or my mom but I'll take it as good.

My male self looks eerily like my father, not just in looks but in facial expressions. It's scary, actually.

Thus, Tina is really a person unto herself, looking like not one of the women on either side of my family.

Hi Kate, Depending on which wig that I am wearing sometimes
I can see my mother or my sister looking back at me in the mirror.
Having my ears triple pierced is AWESOME, ~~......

I look like my sister. I was getting dressed en femme on day and looked in the mirror and my sister was looking at me. It startled me.

Had to turn down a wig that I thought looked nice until I had one of those a-ha moments.

Umm - that's my moms hairstyle. And I looked like her. A lot.

I found a picture of my mom when she was about 20. I was shocked at how much I looked like her when I was en femme. As I get older, I'm turning from my mom into my dad.

I think I do resemble my mother, looking at photographs although feelings are not that strong as she died when I was fourteen.

For many years, my then wife, would say that I looked and acted like my mother even when I was not en femme. I think that when dressed en femme that I look even more like her and I know that I act much like she did.

Love my Mom dearly but I unfortunately inherited her large nose. Not my best feature, that is for sure...
