I think there is only a small likelihood any picture here would "get out."

Conversely, I am in the super cautious camp myself and one thing I've always said: if you can't take the chance -- don't take the chance. Thus, no pics of Misty anywhere.

Of course there is always the chance, whenever you put anything on the internet.
But for me, I have been here a long tome and posted many pictures. To date, no issues.
I will say that at this point in my life, if anything did leak out, That would be life. I will deal with it
I am mostly out to everyone that matters now anyways.

I agree. NSA probably has better things to do. If someone had a hint that I am here, two and two could be put together. That bad person would have to go through all of my crazy posts. By the time that would happen, he/she would be off to the looney bin. I'd love to post good photos of myself but there aren't any...yet.

<----look at that , who would want to steal that? Really?

Seriously, I am sure I have my photo posted somewhere by some moron who is trying to fake their way through life and get sex or money or whatever. It doesn't really scare me. My photos have graced so many sites, most not even as "secure" as this one that if I didn't understand that they have been used (and there are some out there I am not proud of) I would be a hermit in a cave. If anyone sees one though please let me know so I can see what kind of kink and fun I am doing

Yup, believe it. It happened to me. Hence, no pics. Once you post a picture on the internet, your've lost control of it with vey little recourse to get it back. If you are concerned, my advice is don't.

I have been hit by excrement falling from a bird in flight.
I think the chances of a piece of guano landing on your shoulder is far greater than someone recognizing your avatar as you.

If it's on the Internet, it's fair game for anyone.

BUT, I'd bet ones chances of being in a car accident are at least ten times greater if not 100 times, than having someone steal your pic and try to "harm you" with it.

There must be dozens if not hundreds of other CD sites someone might have to look through if they were looking for trouble.

Girls, all it takes is one imposter who has a thing for CD's. He joins the site, downloads the pictures and uploads them to imagefap/tumblr/usenet etc. I'm guessing the better you look, the better the chances are of your pictures ending up in places outside of our forum. (Which means I probably shouldn't worry like I do about posting pictures of Abby)

If you go to images.google.com and drag one of your images to near the search bar, the area will change to allow you to drop the image. Google will then search for copies of the image, including in different sizes.

I could find my avatar listed as existing here, but not anywhere else. I tested with a bunch of my other images and none of them were found. Lorileah, your avatar was found only here when I searched, but it was interesting to look at the results and see how well you are matching a lot of women.

There's a pretty simple answer to this: If you can accept the 'worst that can happen', and everyone in the world learns that you're a crossdresser, then go ahead and post your pictures. If having everyone in the world know that you're a crossdresser isn't in your best interests, then DON'T POST PICTURES ON THE INTERNET, ANYWHERE. You can't un-ring a bell. Once the information is out, it's out, and so are you. It's always wise to think long and hard before making any decisions that can seriously affect the rest of your life.
Some causes of crossdressing you've probably never even considered: My TG biography at:http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/...=1#post1490560
There's an addendum at post # 82 on that thread, too. It's about a ten minute read.
Why don't we understand our desire to dress, behave and feel like a girl? Because from childhood, boys are told that the worst possible thing we can be, is a sissy. This feeling is so ingrained into our psyche, that we will suppress any thoughts that connect us to being or wanting to be feminine, even to the point of creating separate personalities to assign those female feelings into.

Wow, I don't know if that means I look as good as a GG or what One thing does bother me though...Sir Elton was in the mix Thanks Sandra, that was interesting

I worried about this for quite a while also.
Now that I've posted pictures here I don't really care any more.
    Found it quite liberating.

Heh, yes, I had indeed noticed Sir Elton in the mix, but that was a definite exception in the top matches.

One of my images that I tested mostly matched pictures of food !

I tried dropping my avatar image into GIS. It only found it here. But it was interesting to see the "similar images"...they were all women, mostly of more mature years. I guess that I pass from the point of view of Google's AI.

I just don't understand why someone would want to post pictures with no face or bounced off a mirror with a cell phone flash. If I'm not allowed to see a good picture of the whole enchilada, then why just show me the plate! If you have any fear of exposing yourself, then why post a picture at all?

Can't say I'm 100% sure no-one (who doesn't already know) will find out about my pastime activities because of the images I post on this website. I do host them 'offsite' in a private photobucket library to keep some sense of control. I'm aware that the pictures are free game the minute they hit the web, but the internet is a big place. Image recognition only works if it has something to recognize and I think I already posted more pics of my female persona in a single week than of myself, ever. Some of the worst security breaches happen because someone got 'physical access' though, so I'm actually more worried about people who don't really need to know finding it out because they see/recognize me IRL.

With facebook I don't save to server. Haven't had any issues plus my own mother wouldn't recognize me. Also my profile pict is at a weird angle and in black and white.
Bored? Try wearing a pretty dress. It's fun.

Thanks, that's the hope anyway. I figure once I get out of the house and away from the neighborhood, I'm pretty safe. Some folks may figure out that I'm no who I am presenting myself to be, but they won't be able to figure out exactly who I am.

Having retired and moved several hundred miles from where I spent my entire life, the number of people who actually know me has greatly shrunk.

I used to think that, but as I've become more comfortable with my "hobby" and more experienced with my presentation, I've allowed my self to post avatar photos of my real (made up) self from a distance. So yes, it's me.

    Never say never.

Somehow I missed this thread until today. While I do not know if anyone has taken pictures from this site, I can only tell you my story and why I do not post pictures of myself.

A few years ago now, I was on another site. Like many here I enjoyed posting pictures of myself. One day a good friend of mine contacted me and said nice pictures. He also posted a link. I followed that link to what was a porn site. There I was in all my glory. Well, not really. It was my head but not my body because I had already had GRS done for years by then. I contacted the site and explained the problem. I was told too bad. They would not remove the pictures. Upon failing to get the pictures removed I went to my laywer and filed a law suit against the site and won. Several months went by and the pictures were still there. To make a long story short. If you look in the right places the pictures are still there. So, the pictures are still there and I am out the thousands of dollars it cost to try and fight this. Hopefully, one day we will hit the right people responsible and the pictures will be gone for good.

I will never post another picture on the internet. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

    Good Luck

To Crystal, as mentioned above, nothing you post on the internet is private. Several of the forum's sections are open to the public, which means that your avatar is visible. We've had a few, albeit rare, incidents of bloggers using members' photos to post in their blogs without their permission. There are CDers who wish to look passable and who steal other CDer's pics to pass off as their own.

I stopped worrying years ago. Now I don't want it advertised or as seen on tv, but if it happens so what. Now that the NSA knows that I CD I guess I may never get that top secret security clearance all though I have known girls who still got it so maybe they are CDs too. If you are not being a porno star don 't worry most even the NSA don't care.
