What does everybody do for a living?

I'm a Pipefitter/Mechanic experienced in working in radiological areas with contamination at times and with hazardous chemicals. I'm curious to see how many other transwomen here are working in industrial environments.

I have yet to begin transition though and expect it may still be a year or so, but that I'll still be doing the same job for the next several years while I do so....

I'm an IT executive in the securities industry. Nothing "industrial" about it! (I did have some welding certs at one point, though.)

I worked in an auto factory just out of high school for summer jobs to pay for college, then worked in the management of large industrial projects. Now I am retired and do whatever I want.

The variety of occupations, current and past, are even more wide than the variations in how, when and the extent that CDs do their thing--- amazing!
Currently I'm a management consultant and author but previously in the motion picture industry coast to coast in two countries, hardware-houseware wholesaling, coventional and discount retail chains --- but started out as a caddy and selling softdrinks as a kid door-to-door until I tasted what I was selling-awful! Then worked when not in college at a shipyard.

I work for a bank, that has 14 locations. I get to bounce around, doing whatever needs doing! Light maintenance, bringing supplies, move files, ---- pretty much anything that's not "banking"! The best part is that I'm pretty much on my own, as far as what to do.
