Forced into retirement at 66 due to recession, and had everything taken when ex wife left me high and dry. Had been residential and commercial electrical service man for over 15 years. Now am a Bridgetender to help keep food on table. I am at the very beginning of my transition.

Broadband Tech for local Telco for the last 17 years.

And once a year, I take excused time off for a couple of months and go work as a Radiation Protection (RP) tech at a Nuclear Power Plant in CA. Have 25 years experience as a RPT.

Radiological Controls and Radiation Protection are the same animal (same limits but higher levels), just one is based on the commerical way of things than working in the shipyard for the military.

I'm a building contractor, I do carpentry, electrical, plumbing, just about all of it when comes to construction and remodeling. I do however have advanced degrees in counseling and educational psychology. I worked for some time in post-secondary education in the student services areas. I got tired of the politics involved and lack the funding for programs so went back to what I really enjoyed the most working with my hands and creating.
